Entrance Preview

I finished my PUC in which i scored 80.5% . I chose B.COM because i have an inclination to commerce and with the prevalent atmosphere i heard from my seniors i was sure SJCC was the place to be.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is perfect . It had their perfect amount of theory and practicality. The duration and the hours of each class had a perfect setting and each subject depending on it's importance was well balanced. The course was created in such a way that by the beginning of the 3rd year we were made aware of what subject we would like to choose as our elective.

Internships Opportunities

The college does provide internships with a variety of startups . The stipend according to my knowledge begins at 8000.

Placement Experience

5

A variety of companies come to campus for recruitment. Companies as big as Google come for placements including other reputed companies such as Deloitte, EY and many more. The college tries it's best to ensure that the students are well placed by the end of the their final semester. The opportunities provided are numerous and any individual only has to take initiative to get placed.

College Events

5

The college had a variety of cultural activities both intra and inter college. The activities would really help each student to bring out their creative side. The fests which were often conducted would concentrate on a particular segment such as sports , business or purely cultural.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships to the lesser fortunate which is based on certain fulfillments. There are a variety of scholarships offered based on the student.

Campus Life

4.5

The ratio of boys to girls is 2:1 .Everyone is treated the same , there are several provisions that are in place for female students such a ladies represntative in each class as well as a ladies representative in the council of memebers. As mentioned earlier the extracurricular activities that take place in college are alot and all one had to do is find out about them and enroll.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was very suitable as per student standards. It gave me enough time to prepare as well as to concentrate on co-curriculars . It has 3 components which are 2 tests of 10 marks each and one mid semester exam of 30 marks followed by a final exam of 100 marks which would be converted to 50. The exams were spaced out in such a way that there would be more than enough time to prepare.

Admission

I filled an online application form and submitted it to the college and on further being shortlisted i went to the college for the interview process. My parents had to also be present for the interviews. A series of very basic questions were asked followed by a briefing of the rules and regulations by a staff member after which i had to pay the fees.
