Remarks

I took admission for BSc Actuarial Science in 2017. Got direct admission ( criteria - 80+% in class 12th ] , Studensts should have scored atleast 70% in mathematics in class 12th to be eligible for this program.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I had a great interest in mathematics and finance. The main subjects taught were Maths, Stats, Eco, Programming and Insurance. Qualified faculties, taught subjects related to CT exams and semester exams were easy to pass.

Class Size: 27Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Actuarial Intern and Actuarial Analyst positions were offered by the companies. Most companies offered 6-month internships with a permanent role based on internship performance, stipends ranging from (25-35k pm).

Placement Experience

You can grab a job if your performance is good across all semesters. Swiss Re, Delloite hires students from BSc & MSc batch with average package (4-7 LPA). Participate in all activities like debates, and your profile would improve.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees increases by 5% per semester. The total course would be between 3-3.25 L ( all three years). Scholarships could be provided to students if their performance is excellent across semesters. Average package ( 3.5-5 LPA)

Campus Life

Amity Youth fest is held every year. The Central Library is well built and has books from all the departments. Sports fest Sangathan is held every year and students get great exposure to co-curricular activities.

My favourite subject was Maths becuase I love in calculate and very understanding aspect for math. Math is very necessary for life because if you want to buy and sell something there will be math for calculation. I solved the maths paper within time .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate the curriculum 4/5. Topics like programing and data structures are super relevant.it prepares us for tech roles, but could include more hands on projects and industry tools. More focus on emerging tech like Ai /ML would be awesome. Exams are semester wise and okay.areas for improvement: internships, coding challenges,and guest lectures from pros. Solid foundation overall !

As the faculty teachers and all the staff was very good and the faculty teachers of the science were very fabulous in education causes me to choose this course... The curriculum here was in terms of social interaction was ok but it was not that good for the future real world academic pursuits as their were not that much activities for the social appearance... In terms of course curriculum and teaching method this college doesn't need much improvements because it is much better according to teaching method , as the teachers were good in terms of teaching... The timing and frequency was having much gap between one semester exam and the other semester exam , so there were not much difficulty in giving exams according to my perspective...

I learnt a lot from this college and from its surroundings as well ,very supportive and good college.

Placement Experience:

There is no placement after Bsc but there is placement after pursuing BCA ,BCom BBA from the same college,the average package is 3lpa ,the companies visited are asra foundation and tata etc . About 80% of students placed in different companies and all got in internships.

I actually chosed tgis college as the exposure was pretty good. But the major part of me for choosing this college is because I was denied by my parents to learn animation as that was my first preference. AMITY UNIVERSITY - GUIDE 101 FOR B.TECH

I applied to SRM chennai and got the admission letter. but i had to choose AMITY because of lack of hostel accommodation in SRM for female students. When i got there they told me they had 0 rooms for so many students. I did not get a rejection, i had to reject SRM because of lack of hospitality for North Indian people at the reception desk. Admission process for Amity is quite moderate, you have to have 70% aggregate in PCM to apply for BTECH, and the students have to go through an interview round to get an admission letter based o nthe interview...Read More
