Entrance Preview

12th Exam conducted by GHSEB, & GUJCAT. After completing 12th std final exam, GUJCAT is compulsory if you want to get enrolled into merit prepared by gov. for engineering stream. Another popular option is go for AIEEE after which one can be eligible for any engineering college in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The first year was covered with general subjects including Civil, Electrical & basic IT subjects. From second year the subjects are more focused on IT & Computer Technology. Starting with C, C++ and HTML through out the four years almost every advanced computer technologies will be covered.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they do indeed. Recently college has tied up with few international universities. Internship programs are usually starts in final year. Based on the academic records and interview, once can be selected for internship program. Normally they provide a stipend but that always vary based on the company or the university in which you are selected.

Placement Experience

4.5

Multiple MNCs including google & Microsoft came to the campus for placements. The placement ratio is very high for this college, Specially for the students in EC,IT, CE & mechanical. Almost all of the students are being placed in a good company. The placement cell of the college is very organised & enough guidance is being provided to students on how to prepare for the interview.

College Events

4.5

For every festival college arranges a special functions for students to celebrate the joy with their friends. Also yearly technical events & cultural events are organised by the university. The youth festival is a very special event for this college. Since past 13 years this college is ranking on top for performances in youth festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not much expensive. We can consider the fees as average. Fees can be paid yearly and loan facility is available if one wants. I was in the college between year 2006 & 2010, at that time yearly fees for BE engineering was 40k per year. Currently the fee for a year is around 75K.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many government as well as private scholarships & loan schemes available by the college authorities. Many of them are depends on the academic records of the students. One very unique reward they give to students is, if one can earn 10 out of 10 CPI in a year, their college fees will be 100% given back.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is very live, Gender ratio is almost 50:50. For every festival college arranges a special functions for students to celebrate the joy with their friends. Also yearly technical events & cultural events are organised by the university. There are multiple labs in the college campus for IT, Mechanical Functions, Robotics. All the labs are equipped with very advanced tool set.

Alumni/Alumna

College conduct an alumni meet every year. This will help current students get the idea on how industry actually works and help them be prepared for the real challenge.

Exam Structure

Exams are being conducted twice a semester (6 months), One internal & One external. In the external exam practical exams, Vivas & written exams are conducted by the university. Students here like to refer multiple books for one subjects as the question in the paper are very much innovative and there in no one book to follow for any Subject. Enough guidance is being provided by the faculties.

Admission

After the merit you get to select a college and stream in which you want to peruse your bachelors. Based on the personal convenience one can select any college from the list. I've selected GH Patel and the main reason behind it was its educational reputation & the place where it located. Admission process was very simple.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did write the course curriculum and Indus university as good and relevant. Overall I chose this course because it has strong fundamentals project work and practical exposure. The curriculum prepares students well for real-world applications and internships, Though it could include more advanced tech technologies and industry certifications exams are regular, each semester and moderate, challenging, encouraging consistent study, but sometimes could be more practical oriented.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and covers all the basic and important subjects related to the field. This course includes both theoretical and practical subjects which influenced my decision to choose it. The syllabus helps in building strong fundamentals, but it is still more theory-oriented and less industry-focused. It prepares students for exams and higher studies, but for real-world skills, students need to do extra courses and self-practice. The exams are conducted every semester along with internal tests and are moderate in difficulty level. If a student studies regularly, the exams are not very difficult to clear. The curriculum should be updated more frequently and more practical, project-based and industry-related topics should be added.
