Remarks
I applied for 5 top NITs through JoSAA and got selected into NIT Warangal for Biotechnology program. I got 144/360 marks in JEE Mains exam which helped me to get into that college. So in order to get into Biotech, NIT Warangal one need to have CRL below 30k in JEE Mains. For admission they called in NIT Warangal and the process was clear which takes max. a day to finish.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had interest in Biology so I chose Biotechnology course. Faculty members had PhD degree in their subject from very good institutes. 2 Minor, 1 Mid sem and 1 End sem exam were conducted in single semester. Exams are somewhat hard but if you study properly you can easily pass.
Internships Opportunities
One can apply to internship from 2nd year onwards. Good no of companies including ITC, Microsoft, Oracle offer internship for 3rd year students. Project from software site are more likely to get you into good company. Also individuals can apply with the help of proffesors.
Placement Experience
From 4th Year 1st semester students become eligible to sit for placements. Over 200 companies including Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Atlasian visit campus every year. Highest package for 2020-21 was CTC 52 lakhs offered by Atlasian comapny. More than 70% student get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
For parent's annual income more than 5 Lakhs one need to pay tuition fee of Rs. 1,25,000 per year and Rs. 12000 for mess and hostel each. For income below 1 lakhs no tution fee. For income in between 1 to 5 lakhs one need to pay 1/3rd of tuition fee and remaining fee is same.
Campus Life
Campus is really good. Technozion is one of the largest technical fest conducted in the month of August. Spring spree is cultural fest conducted in the month of March. Librabry is big enough to make you available all the books you need for academics. Sports facilities are the best.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are clean. Electricity, water, wifi is available all the day. Meal is not that good especially for north indian people. There is hostel office in college campus. you need to go there and register individually. For 1st year 2 student in a room and from 2nd year onwards single room for each.
