Entrance Preview
I wrote NATA Etrance examination which I got 52% and the minimum we need 40% to apply for b.arch course. I took Bishop jerome institute, because it is so close to my home and also there is a wide facilities and infrastructure than any of the architecture colleges in Kerala. There was an interview before opting into this college that is conducted by the management board.
Course Curriculum Overview
Architecture is an awesome course which we have all the freedom to explore the world and frequent tours are arranged by the college. Also we will study all the engineering parts very little to aware about it. There will be 9 jury throughout the course which we have to pass in design subject otherwise we will be repeating the year.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, in semester 7 we have to go for internship which we will get 6k to 10k stipend. We have the freedom to go anywhere in the world for the internship. It is just for a semester.
Placement Experience
Architecture has no placement. We have to find a job by sending our final year thesis work to the firms which they will be interested to review. By those they will select one candidate. The best thesis will get the first chance of interview which they can recruit from thousands of participants. Its like competetion.
College Events
Arts day which is conducted by whole college. Riti, Which is an architecture festival that is conducted by architecture department. College day will be conducted by the college annually . The sports day is conducting in every year as complete participation from the department which will play against other colleges.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is 158000 per annum. And there will be a refund deposit of 2 lakh initially. That will be refund after getting the course certificate. The rate will vary in semesters +-10%. There will be additional charges as fine due to disciplinary actions and ragging.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, there is no loan or financial support from the college as we should take load from external bank before coming to college or get a form from the college to promote loan from the bank. That will be transferred directly to the college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel faculties are quite better and the food is high quality food which we will pay totally 60000 per annum per person. There will be four candidates in a room which will have individually bed and coat, fan, wardrobe.
Exam Structure
Exams are quite easy but the evaluations are tough enough that will filter maximum number of quality architectss from the college. The examination is quite serious in the hall which has survaillence cameras are fitted with IP which principal and exam cell can be watch lively.
Faculty
The faculties are much better and all are qualified in M.Arch and M.Plan from IIT, NiT and TKM. The faculties will teach and pass there knowledge as much and there efforts are high. They will always teach by presentation which we can perceive easily. The notes will be given by them before the examination.
