Kelkar college enlightenment

I have chosen to study here because it is a very prestigious university. In Vit business school has received AACSB accrediation. It also has good placement rate which helps us to get jobs right after graduating. for the admission producedure in VIT is Firstly I filled application in VIT portel. After the submission of my 10, 12th marksheet, UG marks and included my Mat score, i proceeded further with my admission. I paid around 1500 for the application form in my mba program. I also had to go through GD and PI as well after which a Merit list was drawn. After paying the 1st year fees I was ready for my Mba program.

I choose this course purely out of self-interest. I always wanted to do something in commerce. Faculty were very friendly and supportive, they are willing to help students at anytime. And students in one division are 130 and ratio of boys and girls is 2:3. Teachers are well qualified and experienced and their teaching methods are also easy to understand they would briefly explain difficult points and let us practice. We have 2 semester in one year and exams would take place at the end of each semester. One semester would be for 4 month. And exams were of 100 marks except practical subjects. It was not so difficult to pass only 1 out of 50 would fail in exams.

Fees for BCom were not so high because it was a affiliated course with university of Mumbai. And textbooks cost was also minimal. So overall it was not even 50000 including books and fees. So many students can take advantage of this less fees and join. A affiliated course means university supports the college and the burden on students is less.

Our college annual fest is called dimensions and it is conducted in the month of December. Huge programs and DJ nights, dance, and various other competitions with cash prices are conducted. Books in library are a little older versions and it would take time to order new version. But there are whole lot of books that you can study and avail knowledge. Magazine and newspapers are available daily. There is NCC team and students participating in this course and attending camps would be rewarded with additional 10 marks in exams. And provided a certificate which would be very much useful for them. The whole dimensions clubs is run by students and teachers just make sure work is happening. Security, Sponsors, Design and various other teams would for months and months to make dimensions come true. There are other clubs that are run by teachers like Literature club, Counselling club, Student council club others.
