Remarks

The college I applied for is MSIT and the reason for not attending this college because it is very far away from college. It is not feasible for me. No, I do not have any Quota. The admission for BCOM is entrance based exam and after that candidates get the ranks and according to ranks they are allotted to the college. The candidates have to complete(10+2) from the recognised Board. The minimum aggregate marks are only 50% and The minimum age is only 21. In the admission process, the candidates have to fill college preferences after getting the ranks. There are many rounds like first, second, third and many more. When the candidate gets the college in the first round and if he/she freeze the seat in the first round. They are not allowed to go the next round, they only get that college. The university conducts the sliding and spot counselling round to fill the vacant seats.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the BCOM Hons course because I was more interested in the Commerce field. It has both Theoretical and Practical Concept. I choose JIMS kalkaji because of the faculty. Many of the faculty are PHD holders from the recognized college. The ratio of faculty and student is 1:15. The way of teaching of the faculty is very is easy and knowledgeable. They teach by PPT. The exam was being held twice in a semester that is one is internal and the second is external. The internal exam is held in the college only and it is easy to pass and the second exam is held in other college and it is quite difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell of the college is active throughout the year and provides various internship opportunities. The internship offered by startup but companies like collegedunia, skillsarena, whitehat jr, Google also provides internship opportunities. The average stipend around Rs. 5000 and is based on incentives or not. The internship project is given on a practical basis and help them to gain college and experience new things. It is compulsory to do an internship in the last year for 2 months.

The JIMS has its own placement cell which comprises teachers and students working together to get the best opportunities. The Placement societies are active throughout the year to provide internship opportunities. The internship opportunities are open all year whether it is the first year or final year. The campus placement starts in September and only for the final year. Companies like Deloitte, Godrej and amazon and many more provide offers to the students. For the UG graduates, the averages CTC offers range from Rs.2 lacs to Rs. 3 lacs. The placement of the college is 95-100.

Fees and Financial Aid

The maximum fee is 100000. The college provides many scholarships like financial assistance which help the student the most. The placement societies of the college help the students to get the job and get placed in the reputed organisation. The students are placed in whitehat jr, RBS, Asian paints, Amazon. They get a stipend of RS.12000.

Campus Life

Now, talking about the infrastructure, there are many things like one library, one auditorium, one canteen, two computer labs, gym. GD/PI rooms and sports rooms and also them are well maintained and air conditioned. The library has a wide range of books which is very helpful and knowledgeable and it is also well maintained and air conditioner. and have one projector and one smartboard. Now, talking about the fest, the college conduct zest which is a major part of JIMS and also conducts fest related to marketing and tech. JIMS has many sports teams it is managed by the sports society of the college. There are many other societies related to other fields like marketing, arts, drama, dance and Rotaract Club which conducts various social activities.

I did not opt for this MSIT college because it is far away from house and it is not feasible for me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.
