Remarks

I have written a team exam. I secured a rank between 20000 and 25000. I have applies to colleges like CET, ragajiri and amal jyothi. I got admission through the first phase of the general allotment process in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose mechanical engineering. Because I was so interested in automobiles. The total intake is 120. The faculty is the best in Kerala. The student-faculty ratio 1:20.Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders. Most are doing their doctorate. The teaching method is so understanding. There were 2 internal exams per sem and the difficulty is moderate.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 37500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internships. It includes HMT and shipyard. The roles offered are assistant posts. The projects include the production and working of machines. The outcomes make as able to work in any machine producing company.

Placement Experience

The placement training starts from the first semester itself. There were exams conducted every sem. From the fifth semester onwards, the placement training gets more serious. The companies visited here include MRF, cognizant, Infosys, South Indian bank, and so on. An average of 40 percent of students gets placed. My plan is to get a good placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The general tuition fee is 75000 per year. There were scholarships offered for meritorious students. Brillant students can study at a very low cost. Many companies approach the college for placement drives.

Campus Life

The tech, Asthra is generally conducted in the month of February. The art fest, Sargam is conducted on the days nearer the tech fest. The library is one of the biggest college libraries in Asia. All classrooms are digitalized with wifi connections. The sports events include football, cricket, basketball and so on. There were 2 units of NSS and one unit of NCC. SJCET is the first self-financing engineering college in Kerala to have an NCC unit. Also music club, nature cube is working here. The chapters of professional societies like ASME, SAE, MEA is here.

Life at CET

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

I had applied to various coleges. That includes amal jyothi college of engineering and technology and also registered for for rajagiri school of engineering and technology.
