Remarks
Actually, if you don't belong to any quota then you have to care for only the AMUEEE exam conducted for the admissions in the BTech program. AMU never reveals the marks of students but only release the rank link after their entrance exam. Those students who got rank in the selected list are basically selected for the seat while AMU also releases the chance memo list also called the waiting list and those who got their name in this list will get admissions only when there is the availability of seats after the counselling of those who are in the selected list. Now, if you have the quota then they release another list for those quotas. So, here everything is different, some seats are reserved for the quota. After giving the AMUEEE exam, you have just had to wish for your name in any of the selected list or the first second waiting list, then there are high chances of getting admission. There are different dates assigned for the counselling according to different lists and just you attend the counselling
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because mostly this course contains placements and also because of studying in my own home town. Now, if I talk about the student's faculty ratio then it is around 3:1 which is quite good and there is the availability of some good faculty members who have very good qualifications also like PhDs from reputed IIT and some are having international PhDs. The books are based on the old curriculum but the teaching methods are quite advanced like there is the availability of projectors and smartboards, however, this is not in all the classes but some of them but if you are taking a reputed course then you definitely get those smart classes. Now, if I talk about the exam criteria then basically in both semesters, there is a first mid semester exam of 25 marks and 15 marks of internal assignment. Then we have 60 marks of the end semester examination after it which signifies the end of any semester. You got maximum of two days to leave for successive exams of courses you have if you got lucky
Internships Opportunities
If I talk truly then I think there is no internship opportunity in-campus other than if you talk to a professor and ask for him or her for the internship under him in research or other domain depending on the professor's speciality domain. However, you are free to apply for the off-campus internship opportunities and if you get then you can easily get a NOC from your department by writing an application. You can opt for a research internship or a technical internship depending on your interest. I suggest that if you want to go for Higher studies then go for a research internship but if you are looking for the jobs after getting your degree then go for the technical internship which you can easily get off-campus because various companies provide opportunities for engineering students to take the internship. Now, I think you can decide on it according to your needs and interests. But whatever you do just do hard work for getting the desired output and chance of success.
Placement Experience
Now, if you are taking this program then you got some opportunities for campus placements and really you are lucky if you take computer science stream. You will be eligible for the campus placement in your seventh semester. Some reputed companies like wipro, L&T, Accenture, jio etc visit and provide a good package to the students. Range of provided CTC is 3-8 lacs p.a depending upon different circumstances and different companies. However, not every student gets the job placement because it is a government college, so it doesn't give you assurance for the job but if you are hardworking and skilled and then you definitely can get it on your own and you can also apply for the off-campus jobs related to IT and technology as a second plan. The percentage of students getting the job is usually less as compared to private colleges like 30% of the total students. Most of the students actually opt for higher studies and I have also the same plan after getting my degree i.e for a MS degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Now, if we talk about the fees for this particular program then it is negligible as compared to other colleges and universities for the same program. In the first year, you have to pay nearly 17000 rupees including the first year fees and admission charges and other ones and after it, the fees are almost Rs 5500 for the subsequent years. The program is for four years. So overall it is nearly 34000 for the whole program of BTech which is negligible and also if you are taking hostel then also it costs nothing for you. Now, besides this, there is also the availability of some scholarships for backward classes students and for those whose family financial conditions are not very good like central government scholarship and U.P scholarship. The university itself provides some financial aid from some of the programs. Now, in this program you can get the job from the in campus placement in your fourth year in some reputed companies like Wipro, L&T, jio etc with a CTC of 3-8 lacs p.a but not to all.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing here. Various events social and cultural are organised timely and also, there is one annual fest called ZARF that is organised annually in March - April. Now different tech fests are also organised depending on the funds and other facilities. Now, if I talk about the availability of books then there is a separate engineering library besides the main central library for the Engineering students and also some research papers and journals are also available. You can also participate in sports activities and extracurricular activities and for this, there is a separate Games club, extra-curricular activities club, dance club and other clubs. You can join any of the clubs according to your interest. Some clubs are also responsible for the advancement and learning of the students and their skills which are run by the students themselves like RoboClub, SAE club, AUV club etc. These clubs are run and managed by the students itself and department provide fund.
