Overall Review of Walchand College of Engineering

The admission process is very smooth. I had applied for COEP and VJTI but didn't get the branch of my choice as my rank was 1477. So, I decided to choose Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. After you have got your college, you need to report to the college with the required documents to pay the fees. You can opt for spot round if you want to have your branch upgraded.

I loved technology so that's the reason I chose this course. The teachers are very good. Teachers have huge experience of teaching, some of them have Ph.D.'s done on the subject. Exams are conducted timely and of mediocre level

Internships are offered to students after semester 6. Internships are based on the technical skills learned in the past 3 years. Your alumni and teachers can be very helpful for getting a good internship.

After 6 semesters, students are available for placements. Microsoft and other big companies visit here. This year the highest package offered was 1.3 crore by Microsoft. I have planned to do MBA after getting my Btech degree.

Scholarships are available for students with categories. A general category student would require approx 86000 fees excluding hostel fees. Other category students have some reduction in fee structure. To avail it, they need to have necessary certificates.

Many clubs conduct both technical and non-technical activities. The Ajit Gulabchand library is the biggest in Asia. Many books of different genres are available there. A Badminton court, cricket field, and many other sports facilities are available.
