Remarks

I applied for top colleges of IP university and Jims, Kalkaji was one of them. I chose JIMS Kalkaji rather than others because it was more convenient to go from my location. No, I did not avail any quota. For admission, we have to give a common entrance test (CET) taken by IP university for which we have to apply for admission under IP university's original website. A person should have at least secured 55% in class 12th and the age limit is 21 years. After the result is announced for CET (in ranks) university opens the portal in which we have to fill the colleges according to our preference. Our CET rank should be according to the college cut-off list to get admission to our preferred college. The admission process was smooth and every step was easy. After we got a seat in a college we have to go with the required documents and submit the fee according to the fee structure provided. After verification of and submission of documents and fees, we finally get admission to the particular college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because B.com Hons provides us with different options after completion of the course. There is enough faculty for students and all the faculty are very supportive and kind. As there is an online mode of classes going on still the teachers are putting up all the efforts to teach students and the best they can do. Terms exams were a little late due to pandemics and exams are a bit easy to pass there was MCQ-based online exam was taken due to pandemic situations.

Internships Opportunities

4

Amoolya group of consultants provided internship for 15000 Rs. stipend. College Dunia provided an internship to be campus ambassador and stipend was in form of incentives and merchandise. Atraski India provides internships to be sales and marketing interns. The placement cell of Jims Kalkaji is providing regular internships so that interested students can apply to them. The output of all these project is the skill development of students and introducing them to the corporate world.

Placement Experience

4

In the last year of the course, students are eligible for campus placements. Amazon, CBRE, Godrej are some of the 100+ companies visited in our college for recruitment. The highest package is bagged by a student is 17.5 LPA. I am thinking of doing business after the completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good enough approx 70000 is the yearly fees and an extra 40000 is given at the time of allotment which directly goes to IP university main branch for maintaining our records. A student can apply for a scholarship if he or she belongs to the EWS category or has secured 85%ile in the cat. Recently college jas given relief for refunding the fees of students who have lost their parents due to covid 19 pandemic. Many internship opportunities are given by different societies formed in college. And by collaborating with different institutes opportunities with paid internships are also provided.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual cultural fest of Jims takes place in the month of October. All books which are needed to study the course are available in library and a separate book bank is also maintained by which after paying a minimal amount we get all books of all years semester wise. After one semester is ended we can show the receipt and return the old books and get the new one. Classrooms are fully air-conditioned and classrooms are equipped with projection screens to do presentations and study material available online. The sports club is fully active and the selection of players is done on the ground. Extracurricular activities for the development of the skills of students are also done. Nss and rotract club, dance society named zaahir.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.
