Remarks

The admission process was very easy. I applied to quite a few colleges before coming to Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce. The selection is based on Merit. They release their cut off lists and if you happen to be in that list you have secured the admission. I did not availed for any quota. The admission criteria for Honours Programme is that the student has to secure minimum 60% for BA students while it's 65% for Bcom students in their first year. The college organizes an orientation programme for the students before the commencement of the session.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BA Economics Honours because of my interest in Economics as a subject. I was eager to learn more and more about it and hence decided to take this subject for my graduation. The faculty is well versed with the subject and helps students to develop maximum knowledge they can in the domain. The term exams were conducted as per the schedule which was given on the college website and they were developed in such a way that it gives a whole idea to the student as what they've studied in the semester

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement drive is okay in the college. I didn't enroll myself for placements so won't be able to give much idea. But as far as I've heard from my friends, many companies came and many of my friends have been placed in companies like Deloitte.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure has been provided on the college website. The college does give scholarships and financial assistance as well as campus jobs to the students. But as for me, I didn't avail of any such assistance.

Campus Life

4.5

The Campus life is quite chill. There are different clubs in the college. Whichever is your interest, you may enroll in them. The college has a library and a reading hall. The library is filled with different books starting from the course curriculum books to cartoon magazines. There are different clubs organized by the students one such is SIFA(Finance). One of the best fest organized by this college is Symagine. College life can attract anyone here because the exposure you get here is worth all the time and money you spend here.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel I got was 3-sharing. We had attached the bathroom and toilet in every room. Each one of us had been provided with a bed, mattress, cupboard, chair, and table. There was a washbasin and two big mirrors fitted in the room. There is a mess in the hostel. The food was good on some days while it was terrible on some days. The hostel is in Model Colony. But there is also another hostel inside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is neither difficult nor easy. It is a good curriculum for even an average student. The teacher mostly used the traditional teaching method. It needs to be improved. The exam's difficulty level is not so high again good for average students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.
