BITS - Bliss within and beyond

I was getting IIT Roorkee, Kanpur, Kharagpur and many other tier1 colleges but was getting a better branch that's why chose BITS. In BITSAT I scored 374/450. Counselling was totally online and a final round at the time of reporting at the campus.

I have an interest in Electrical equipments.1:30 is the faculty student ratio and may vary from course to course. All of the teachers who taught were at least PhDs and some even more. Exams are made tough to maintain the standards of education at the college and grading is lenient. The complete schedule of the semester is provided at the start of each semester and followed very closely.

Mostly after the 6th and 7th semester, students are eligible because in BITS we have placements twice in a year. And some of the students who get an internship at the end of 3rd year may get a pre-placement offer. Wipro, Cognizant, Amazon, Oracle, Intel Corporation, Qualcomm, Apple, Flipkart, Samsung etc. The highest CTC is 45 LPA and the average LPA is 18.05 LPA as per the recent stats. 99% of the students were placed, almost all of them at a decent package. I am planning to work for an IT firm .

The fee is a bit too high at BITS but the quality of education we achieve here is a resemblance to it. The fee hike is 15% each year. If you get a good CGPA like (9+), then you will get fee waivers on tuition fee.

Oasis the cultural fest is organised in the month of October and the tech fest APOGEE in the month of March. BITS library has got an ocean of books ranging from academic to non-academic variety. Classrooms have decent furniture and LED lights, wall fans, Air conditioners, a computer and a projector. We have BOSM, our sports fest in September where many inter college tournaments are played in various sporting disciplines. Along with this, we have our Student Activities Centre where we have our Gym, indoor courts and art and craft rooms. We have NSS BITS Pilani for social service works, Team Anant for miniature satellite building, Team Inspired Karters for F1 car building, BITS ACM for coding and tournaments.

We have our own almirah, an integrated table with the drawers attached and shelves, along with a Bed 2 tube lights,1 fan and 2 windows for ventilation. Food quality is nice in the mess and clean drinking water. Along with daily food, there is a pitstop in the mess where we can purchase our confectionery items. Hostels are affordable on the college campus and the registration is done online along with admission and allotment is given at the time of reporting to the campus. Every year your hostel is changed. All of the students stay in the hostels except a few day scholars who have their homes nearby.
