Remarks

I am an undergraduate student of HBTU Kanpur, UP. I am pursuing my B-TECH in computer science and engineering. My JEE MAIN All India rank combined general rank was 24154 and OBC category rank was 5654. I got the CSE branch in the first round of councelling. In our university admission for B-TECH is totally based on jee mains rank. Our University provides a seperate councelling for admission in different programmes that starts along with JEE councelling. Our university is 100 years old and too good in terms of placement. In the CSE branch, students get a package of 60 LPA from google and PPO of 43.5 LPA from MICROSOFT. A lot of students were placed in Samsung, Oyo rooms, and many big companies. Last year Average placement of the CSE branch was 12LPA and the overall average package was around 7LPA. If u want to be a part of our university, u have to go to http://hbtu.ac.in/ website and register yourself for councelling.

Course Curriculum Overview

In every semester mid sem and end sem exams are conducted that are of moderate level. If you are a little bit sincere about study u can easily get over them. All you have to do is maintaining 75% attendence and sincerity.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is a very good option to explore and earn.In our university a lot of companies offers internships to the students. Google offers summer internship, microsoft,samsung,asian paints, Infosys and many other companies offer a lot of internships.

Placement Experience

I want to be selected by one of the top companies and get a good package. After some years of job, I will start to do something for rural areas like my village to help them in Educating children, motivating teenagers and help them financially.

Fees and Financial Aid

University provides scholarships to those students who are extraordinary in their field when they are shortlisted for medals at the end of their graduation. Also, you got a scholarship from UP government if your annual income is less than 2.5 lakh. Its amount could vary year to year.

Campus Life

There are a lot of clubs and groups in the college, u can join them if u r interested and develop ur personality. Seniors run them, they always ready to help u when u need anything. Be gentle, obey them, and respect them, that all they wanted

Placement is already average and also increasing every year and i have heard from a masters senior that in 4 days 1000 students got placed and still placements are going on and i can say it is pretty good and improving and increasing every year and our college also has wipro labs ios development centre and many more things and people get eligible from 6th semester 3rd year and highest package was of 30-40+LPA IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES for highly skilled students and average is 5-6 LPA package dependss in skills and communication skills and confidence and all roughly 70-80% students and eligible to get placed and also for it and cse students its higher and increasing every year and so on

An average college, it is good if you are from middle lower class family

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More
