The admission process is smooth in M.D.U (UIET) . The faculty is understanding and cooperative too Admission process is conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) counseling based on a candidate's rank in JEE Main.MDU offers six specializations under the BTech course. The admission to these programs is based on a cutoff list prepared by HSTES based on JEE Main ranks, followed by a counseling process. Class 12 from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry and biology. Biotech is a new stream which is added in BTech a few years back and doesn't require jee mains , but a good score in CBSE matters much. Age can vary from 17 to 20 for BTech

The Department of Computer Science was established as one of the earliest Computer Science & Engineering departments in the country. One of the strengths of the department is its strong entrepreneurial culture and many students have successfully involved themselves in creating entrepreneurial ventures some of which have gone fully commercial within a short span of time. While some such students benefit from the on-campus Technology Business Incubator provided by the Institute, some others choose to create virtual organizations to keep the costs low and later move onto the regular business models. The faculty benchmarked our curriculum with select institutions of higher learning around the world and currently, they are carefully reviewing the impact of these consequent changes with a view to make our programs even more strong and competitive.

The placements in MDU are very good. Many top companies visit the university campus for hiring students. However, MDU does not facilitate summer internships for its students. 70-80% of students get campus placed out of which 30% get placed in top-notch firms with average placement as high as 6-7 LPA. Top MNCs like Adra, Gemini Solutions, MediaAgility, G R Infraprojects, Jakson Group, Delloite visit the campus every year. To date, 440 MNCs have visited the campus to recruit students across multiple domains. The lowest salary was recorded as 2 LPA. Whereas the median salary was recorded to be 2.4 LPA. The highest package recorded was 6.4 LPA.

Total fees for BTech computer science in uiet mdu for the four-year course is 2,97,152 and this is further divided into 4 years and years are further divided into semesters. Many scholarships are also available like tfw ( tuition fee waiver ) for which you only have to pay a tuition fee which is 7 to 9 thousand per semester and we also have reservations for scheduled caste and schedule tribe. Besides this university provide scholarship to the students who attain good marks in their semester exams which is 2k to 8k vary accordingly

Holi fest and many other fest like phool mohtsav and many educational and spiritual fests are also there. In 2017 National youth festival was held in mdu and many artists performed there. The 21st National Youth Festival was held at Rohtak, Haryana. The Festival was over in Jan 2017. The NYF 2017 is organized by the Government of Haryana in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The festival will be attended by over 10000 youth from across the country. PROF.
