Remarks

No, I have not availed any quota. The admission procedure is quite simple. IPU CET is the entrance exam one needs to give and get rank between 2000-2500 to get admission in this college. Further details are provided by the college itself.

I chose this course because I have an interest in finance. The teachers and professors are experienced and are degree holders in their respective fields. The faculty members are very helpful. Teachers use different ways for teaching like they use PPT's to explain conepts which is quite helpful.

Placement Experience

Students of the 5th and 6th semesters are eligible for campus placements. In recent years companies like MRF, Asisan Paints, Godrej, Decathlon etc., have recruited students from our college. The average package range from 3-4 Lakh. Positions like Assiatant Manager and General Manager are offered to the students. Percentage of students getting placed every year is 80-85%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite high but its worth it. Quality education is being provided. The fees remains same every year. College also keeps us updated about the scholarships tests. I haven't availed of any scholarship.

Campus Life

There are many societies in the college which are quite active and most of them are run by students. NSS, Awaaz (dramatics), Qaafila (music), Ace (placement) etc., are some of the socities. There are a lot of books and journals in the library. There are Air conditioners and smart boards in every class. JIMS also organises its own fest every year named ZEST.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

I would say genuine

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

I chose the bcom course because of its well structured curriculum that covers fundamental aspects of commerce, including accounting, finance, taxation and business law. Exams are conducted in every 3 months of semester. Exams paper are moderate to hard not so easy.

Take admission if you wanna graduate just to get a degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.

An eye opener view

For studying in JIMS Kalkaji you can get the form online through their official portal and eligibility is that you have to be graduate. Appication fees is 1000Rs. And application dates are felxible.Regarding reservations the college accept students who gave any competitive exam for PGDM course and last dates are as per the college site which mainly is in end of July. The difficulty level of exam is average. And personally talking about my admission ,it was quite smooth and the faculty was also very knowledgeable and friendly.
