Remarks

I applied for IIT NIT IIIT AND BITS. Qualified all but I want top branches i.e. CS and Electronic and Electrical branch and I got that in Bits. BITS Pilani is one of the best colleges in India and competitive with TOP IITS. To be eligible for Bits we need to get 75% more in 12th and you need to clear Bitsat whose cutoff varies with year. We can check that easily on the Bits Pilani website.

Course Curriculum Overview

Everything is best in Bits. Students are free to choose which teachers they want and can create their own timetable. Exams in Bits are tough since we compete with students of the same IQ. Faculty are always supportive.

Internships Opportunities

In the 2nd year from the side of the bit, we are exposed to the company for the very first time it's called practice school. Companies from India visit there and we get internships. Every branch students get their company respectively. CS, ECE, Mech, Chem every variety of company approach, and we are assigned projects accordingly.

Placement Experience

In bits placement is magic. Students get internships after completing their 2nd year. Also at the start of the 3rd year, we get great companies coming for summer internships. Bits have great alumni support. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, Samsung, etc comes every time. The highest package that I have heard of is around 50 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are around 4.5 lakh per year. But Bits is special in case that it provides scholarships up to 100%. To be eligible for a scholarship your parent's income should be less than 5 lakh per year. Also, you get a scholarship based on your merit.

Campus Life

There are lots of clubs in Bits for every purpose. The fest happens at infrequent intervals. Bits provide national-level sports faculty and have every sport available. We have a zero attendance policy and it's students wish to attend class or not. We can schedule our whole day accordingly.

Hostel Facilities

The menu is based on a weekly basis as well as a season basis. The quality of the food is good. Better than most of the IITs as I have heard from friends. Clean and hygiene are maintained in hostels every day. If any guest comes he can take a room at rent at 1000 rupees including meals.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

about 90 percent people get placed and the rest goes for masters or become enterprenuers. Top companies that visit campus are Samsung ,BNY,Flipkart etc.Highest package goes upto 1.3 cr with average of 13lpa and median of 12lpa.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
