College that should not be overlooked

After appearing for the UPSEE exam in 2018, I directly went for AKTU counseling. I preferentially filled all the top colleges of AKTU for Computer Science Engineering so from this counseling I got the seat booked in PSIT without any second thought as it was one of the best colleges under AKTU and also because I live in the same city where the college is, which is Kanpur. The admission criteria for my program are overall at least 60% marks in 10th and 12th and a minimum of 60%in PCM(in 12th). If one has appeared for any competitive exam like UPSEE or JEE then its result plus other documents like both 10th and 12th mark sheets, proof of identity(Aadhar). Once these documents are verified by the institute officials, counseling may be held the same day or within 2-3 days. Overall the admission procedure is very smooth.

The reason for opting for CSE was-firstly it provides improved job opportunities affords opportunities of producing creative experience and innovations secondly one lands a good job as a programmer through a CSE degree. As per AICTE minimum faculty required is 1:15 (teacher: student ratio) and PSIT has an average of that. Each semester has 2 CTs (Class Tests) of 15 marks each, CT1 covers 1.5 units, and CT2 covers the other 1.5 units. After this PU(Pre University) is held in which all 5 units are covered. For getting passed in internals one must be passed in at least any 2 out of 3 exams. It is easy to score well in CTs because of less syllabus and sufficient time to prepare as CT1 is held after a month or more from starting of the semester and CT2 after a month or less of CT1.

The college provides various opportunities for internships. The students are also in contact with IEEE and it also provides opportunities for internships. The college also collaborated with Internshala and Verizon to provide opportunities to students.

From the sixth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Top MNC's like Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, TechMahindra, Cognizant, Walmart Global, Wipro, Justdial visit for campus placement with 3.2LPA to 26LPA. More than 90% of students are placed every year. For this training is started from first year onwards.

Fees of the first year are more than the other 3 years i.e 1.7 Lakh. The total fees of B.Tech(Computer Science Engineering) are 6.80 Lakh. If you are a day scholar then it is best to avail of the PSIT bus service as it is affordable and easily available. Buses are fully airconditioned and of the best quality.

The campus provides a fully air-conditioned, noise-free, spacious central library with proper seating capacity and flexible timings. Computer systems in the library help students to explore, participate in online contests. Classrooms are also fully air-conditioned with large whiteboards and projectors with a seating capacity of 70 students.
