Remarks
I mainly applied for PSIT only for the computer science branch and electronics engineering. No, I did not avail any quota for admission. The minimum marks were decided on the basis of either the marks scored in UPTU or the marks scored in the test planned by them. There were questions related to what were we expecting from the college and also we gave the information about our 10th and 12th results. The admission process was smooth enough. Students were given branches on the basis on the basis of the marks obtained in the exam and the number of seats available in the branch. There were some seats reserved for the students who were going to take admission through the marks obtained in UPSEE and other seats were available for the students who got the direct admission. The faculty of the college were quite supportive during the admission process. After the admission, we were given a campus tour and also a tour of hostels for those who wanted it. So, overall it was a smooth admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to get into the IT field and also had a bias for programming that's why I found this particular course suitable for me. PSIT has one of the best infrastructures. All the facilities here are available hand to hand for the students. Also, the hostels are relatively clean and the mess food is very hygienic. Academics The faculty well -qualified and are very much supportive. The curriculum is always up to date. Apart from this English and PSA trainings are also organized for the students from the first year. Since this is a 4-year course, so per year, we have two midterm exams that are conducted around June and December every year. The paper pattern is totally based on what is taught us during the classroom lectures. And any student going through the content provided in college thoroughly can easily score decent marks in the exams. The difficulty level of the exams conducted is not very much.
Fees and Financial Aid
The amount required per year for the Btech course that I opted for is 1.7 lakhs and for four years it totally sums up to Rs.6,32,000. There was no scholarship available for my course but there are several courses in which scholarship is provided on the basis of class 12th percentage.
Campus Life
Yes, there is an annual fest called WAVES every year in which there are several activities and competitions. Also, the library of our college has all the books that are required by the students. Academic books are also provided to the students from the library itself. There are several groups and clubs available for students like acting, dancing, singing, etc.
