Overview of PSIT,KANPUR

PSIT, Kanpur was always my first choice among all the engineering colleges of UP. It is one of the best colleges in north India. I got admission to PSIT KANPUR through the UPSEE entrance exam. The admission process is mainly based on counseling. You can also take direct admission in college by giving an entrance test and interview and you should have a minimum of 60% PCM aggregate in the 12th standard. My admission process was smoothly conducted. All the staff was very cooperative and always ready to help you if you face any problems during the admission process.

I have a keen interest in coding and trending technology that's why I chose computer science as my field. The curriculum is well designed so that the students not only excel in their academics but grow in all other aspects. The college curriculum focused on creating an environment of effective learning and innovating and transforming students into dynamic, responsible, and productive professionals in their respective fields who are capable of adapting to the changing needs of the industry. The faculty is highly qualified. They are highly skilled and experienced in their respective field. all the faculty give their best while delivering the lectures so that each and every student is able to understand the concepts. They are always ready to resolve all the doubts of the students. You have to give 3 class tests,2 Assignments, and 1 pre-university exam. These exams prepare you well for the university exam.

You get internship opportunities from various companies. Faculty guides in building projects. There are various roles provided by different companies with a decent package. Students are trained for the companies. MD mam also motivates every student from time to time so that no student leaves hope and gets the best package.

PSIT is well known for its placements. From the 5th semester, students are eligible for placement. Various companies arrive at the campus. During the pandemic also PSIT has an excellent placement record. The highest package is 26lpa. It prepares well for the placement. We have a training team that prepares for aptitude, coding, and interviews rounds. They make sure that each and every student gets placed

The total fees of the computer science branch is 1,65,000. You also get various scholarships. I get a scholarship from the up government i.e 60,000 every year. College also provides the scholarship but you can avail only one scholarship

The college life at PSIT is just amazing. Every year 2 days cultural fest is organized in which various technical and nontechnical events are organized. There is a celebrity night where various singers come and perform. The sports event is also organized where students are encouraged to participate in different sports. I was a part of the basketball team. The college is equipped with a library with a wide range of books. All the classes are air-conditioned equipped with a projector and well furnished which creates an effective learning environment. There are various clubs in which you can join which help you follow your passion or hobby.

The hostel Facility is quite good. We have separate hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel has both AC and non AC rooms. Rooms are cleaned every day. Proper hygiene is maintained at the hostel. It also has a laundry facility. Mess food is made with proper hygiene. Wardens are very helpful. I personally enjoyed being at hostel
