Great placement facility and affordable fees

I got the college through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). After getting my rank in the UPSEE examination and selected my preferred list of colleges from the AKTU portal. There wasn't much concern about the age and you can be easily capable for the CS department which has the highest priority if your UPSEE rank is less than 14,000. PSIT was one of them because it was near my house and I was capable of getting a Computer Science branch. After this, I had to pay a fee amount of about Rs 20,000 for confirmation of my seat. Later this amount would be included in my college fee. We then have to submit all the required documents which include - 10th and 12th mark sheet, Transfer certificate, migration certificate, UPSEE result and caste certificate if any.

I chose this course because of my interest in Computer Science and also the fact that the CS and IT department have about a 90% placement ratio. The faculty is very professional and qualified. Most of my teachers had Phd qualification. We were welcomed to ask doubts whenever we had free time in their faculty cabin. Many teachers also help students if they come up with the idea of organising a workshop or want to study anything advance related to Machine Learning or anything such. In subjects like maths and other such subjects, the teachers taught us on the blackboard while few subjects were taught on a projector. The teachers provide us with all the necessary notes which are more than enough for the University examinations. We had two CTs (Class Test) each of 15 marks which are conducted after each month and 4 assignments of 10 marks which are conducted every 2-3 weeks followed by a university exam at the end of the semester (which is approx 5 months).

Internships are provided in the third year especially from companies like Infosys and Capgemini to approx 200 to 300 students. However, all of us are asked to make projects in the second year itself. Students come up with wonderful projects and the faculty helps us to add a great feature to our CV.

Placement is the most central thing in college. The training for placements started from the first semester itself. From coding to communication skills, all the training are taken place from the first year itself. 60% of the engineering students get placed from the in campus placement with a good package ranging from 3.5 lakh - 8 lakh per annum. While there is also complete support from the college for off-campus placements which results in more than 90% placement ratio and almost 100% in CS and IT. Almost every year or two there goes a student gets placed in Amazon with 27 lakh the highest package to date.

We can pay the college fee in 3 quarters almost for each semester which was 1,60,000 for us. We did not experience any hike because however because that was not possible in the times of COVID. However, with the introduction of specializations, there were different fees for different specializations with AI/ML being the highest having a fee of 1.9 lakh. Students having an annual income less than 2,00,000 Rs or from a certain get complete assistance from college applying for government scholarship from the State government.

College life is pretty amazing like any other college. There are so many new people to meet from around the country. There are 3 fests in a year. The first is The Freshers Party which is for the welcome for new students and the last is the ceremony for the students placed and leaving the college. However, the most entertaining annual fest is the "ignitia" that takes place in February and everyone from the college is invited to attend it. Celebrities from Hardy Sandhu to Shirley Sethia have been invited to these events. Along with this, there are many others events that also take place. The library is the most wonderful part. As a student, you have access to all the books of the library and the course books are issued for the whole semester free of any charge. After the 9-5 classroom time people interested in sports go to play their specific sport. The PSIT has plenty of sports team from Kho-Kho to football that takes part till the nationals.
