MBA from Kanpur University

The admission process was not very complex. I have given the University entrance exam and scored the rank 07. A few days after, I saw the students having the rank 1 to 100. were called for counselling. The information was mentioned in the newspaper. We are required to submit the demand draft of the fee in the college during counselling. After the counselling, we were provided with the challan of the fee deposited(fee receipt). Since I have applied to this very college only and given the university entrance exam I was not obliged to go anywhere else. As it is a government college, the fee is also quite limited as compared to others, I came here to pursue my MBA program. There is no minimum age for pursuing MBA in the university and the minimum marks in the entrance depends upon the no. of candidates applied. However, I can say that the person having some knowledge or the person who gives the entrance exam can qualify easily.

MBA being a professional degree opens up many opportunities to make your step into the corporate world. Also it helps in the overall development of the personality and is also helpful if a person wants to start their own business. The course is good but the syllabus persisting in the college cannot be found in the single book. We were having many problems in covering the syllabus. Easy notes available in the market are affiliated with AKTU so we suffer a shortage of study material. However, you can make good terms with faculty members of the college who may help you in providing the study material. The faculty of the university are very friendly and helpful. A hesitant person eventually can develop itself with the guidance and help of such good teachers as they always try to bring their students. Most of the faculties here hold a PhD degree while some hold a master degree in the related subject. Exams can easily be passed by every student. There is no such hard level of questions asked.

Due to the occurrence of Covid 19 internship opportunities in the MBA program was not very good. We were made to make a project report in place of the internship. The project which is made will be of 150 marks and you are required to defend your topic research while giving the viva in front of the examiner.

After the end of the 3rd semester, students are eligible and companies for placements arrive in the college. Byju's, Micro Sugar Engineering Solution Pvt. Ltd. arrived till now. The placement is ok, it's not too good. I would however like to continue my studies further after getting the degree.

Fees are almost 53000 something divided into respective classes such as degree fee, course fee etc. The cost required to study here is quite reasonable as compared to other institutions. Scholarship availed by the students can be a maximum of 60000. However, very few people got the whole amount as a scholarship. It is generally distributed as 4000.6000, 15000 or maybe more.

Teachers day, Convocation was arranged during my time. Due to the occurrence of Covid 19, there was no conduction of many of the fest. However, I think the fest and all here are mostly arranged by the students only if they want The library is good. A person can get a huge amount of knowledge but we were not able to get appropriate books for MBA studies.
