Remarks
In the Josaa Counseling, I got this college in my last round. I did not avail any quota. I found I cleared JEE Advanced when the result came out. After the results, I filled out the choices according to my preference. I got a Bachelor of technology in Mineral and Metallurgical engineering at IIT ISM DHANBAD. Then admission process took place. Paid the fees and got my admission number and college e-mail ID. And then classes started one day. And everything is going online since the day. But the faculty, management, and the director are very helpful and caring. Professors are so enthusiastic and they teach us with so much zeal and interest. They have done wonders in their field. Everything is well structured, the courses, the academic schedule are student-friendly. Seniors have told us the college is very beautiful. Inside the boundary of college, everything is too good and greenery everywhere. We have got clubs for everything. You can pursue any of your interests once you are here. Happy to be here!!
Course Curriculum Overview
I answered this in the previous part only. Exams were quite tricky. After all, it is an IIT. In the first year, all the students are mixed and all of us are taught the same courses. A quiz takes place at an interval of two weeks and there are four quizzes per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The first semester fees was around 1.25 lakh and in the second semester, it was 1.07 lakh. I was not eligible for any scholarship. Scholarships are more of financial assistance and awarded to only those whose family annual income is less than a certain limit. I don't know much as I was not eligible for it. There is nothing like a campus job here. I guess it is not in any Indian institute.
Campus Life
Clubs for everything. Highly skilled seniors and dedicated towards the club and always ready to share their skills with their juniors. They always help us. They teach us whatever we are interested in. We have got a lot of opportunities here. You can go ahead with whatever you want. Standup comedy, YouTube, sports, coding, machine learning, poetry, and whatnot. There is student-run official newsletter in college. They keep us updated about placements, upcoming opportunities.
