My College

The Indraprastha University held an IPU CET examination in which I enrolled. I got 854th rank in that exam. The candidates were allowed to rank 10 colleges according to their preferences and my first preferred college was Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji. There were three rounds of counselling and I got my preferred college in the first round itself because of my rank and I freeze my seat. After this, the next step in the admission process was document verification and then the payment of fees.

I chose Bcom[hons] because I had an interest in finance and accounting. The faculty here are supportive and student-friendly and they all are well qualified and have a high level of knowledge. All the faculties here, teach as per the students are able to understand. There two internal and one external exam conducted in each semester and the exams are not too difficult as everyone can easily score good marks if they study sincerely.

Every student of our college is getting internships. The companies that are offering internship opportunities are HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla, Reliance Industries, Paytm, TATA Motors, Amul, Deloitte and Hitachi.

The third-year students or sixth-semester students are eligible for placements. The top recruiting companies coming to our college are Amazon, Tata, Airtel, Nestle, Philips, ICICI Bank, Delloitte and Godrej. The highest package offered is 17.5Lakhs per annum and the average package offered is 6.8Lakhs er annum. Around 90% of students are getting placed from our college. I am planning to do a Master's degree.

The tuition fees are around Rs95,000- Rs1,05,000 per year, as it is common in most of the private colleges. The fees are reduced every year by a small amount. As of today, the college is not providing any scholarships.

Zest and Dandiya 2019 was the annual fest that the college conducted last and that on 19th October 2019. One of the other main events conducted by the college is when a new batch of students arrives and this event is named as Fresher's party. There are plenty of good books and magazines available in the library. The classrooms have smart-class facilities, a blackboard and are air-conditioned, have free wifi facility. There are various co-curricular activities held, that are MARKATHON in which many contests are there, Quiz competitions, presentation competition, and many sports competitions too.
