Remarks

Criteria for Application - 3 Year Graduation Degree with Minimum 50% marks from UGC recognized University, Valid Score Card of CAT/ XAT/ MAT /CMAT /ATMA /GMAT or state-level selection test. Upon fulfillment of the above, I got a date for GD & PI and was given topics for GD beforehand. On the day of GD & PI, we were being addressed by the faculty members of SKIPS in respect to Institute's intro and details. Then we were taken to SKIPS Tour making us familiar with the campus, classroom, computer room, library, canteen area, etc. By late noon, the GD and PI were over. A week later I got a call informing my selection for the seat of PGDM Course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

At the moment, I have completed the First Year of the PGDM Course at SKIPS. The course is carried out under Trimester System. All the faculty members have a minimum experience of 5-7 years in teaching. All faculty members are very interactive and approachable. The entire first year was conducted over the Zoom platform. The timings of sessions generally remain between 9 to 5, with 6 sessions of One hour with buffer break of 5-10 minutes and 30 minutes Lunch Break. It becomes hectic but we have to manage through it which helps us prepare for the corporate world. Exams and the course completion have been on time. In total there are about 10-12 faculty members for the First Year Students at SKIPS. The ratio of faculty: student hence is 1:12 The focus is on building students' thought processes by making interactions during sessions based on the concepts being taught. We have newspaper analysis, colloquium, budget event, project, assigment etc that are focused to ensure we remain aware of relevant current affairs.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The internship details are answered in the previous question - Q.7 of Step - 7 Currently, I have completed the 1st week of internship out of 8-week tenure. Students are assigned the Institue Mentor and Industry Mentor (of the company with which you have the internship). The mentors remain in contact to discuss the performance of students as well as the tasks to be assigned and other such needs. Students have to submit an industry research report which has to be based on the internship with the company. The evaluation of the Summer Internship Programme is done by both mentors and only upon getting a passing score, the student is allowed to advance to the next academic year.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement happens in the 2nd year. Currently, I have completed the First Year. So cannot comment on Campus Placement. However, the placement committee has provided us opportunities for the mandatory summer internship program to be done in June and July as part of the curriculum without which the student cannot advance to the next year. The internship related placement started in February month wherein companies offering online and offline internships came with opportunities for students. All the students had to adhere to the guidelines made for the SIP ensuring that every student gets a fair chance in the company he/she wants to intern for. Due to COVID, certain industries were impacted adversely and hence could not come with internship opportunities like before. The category of companies that came with internship opportunities are - Banks, NBFC, FMCG CO, Export-oriented Companies, Consultancy Services, ITO, research oriented entities, etc covering HR, Finance, Marketing & IB profile.

Fees and Financial Aid

There has not been any hike in fees. The fees that were decided and informed upon the time of admission have remained the same. The fee structure is divided into 3 installments of 142000/- each. Apart from that, at the time of admission, 48,300/- is to be paid for admission fees, exam fees, and material.

Campus Life

4

Due to the COVID Scenario, most of the First Year course was conducted over the ZOOM Platform. For 2 weeks when things were normal in Ahmedabad, the students visited the campus and were welcomed in the conference hall and the sessions were conducted. Later on, the students were divided into 3 sections wherein the online students were connected through Zoom Platform. Each class and the corridor passage has ample ventilation due to a good number of windows. The classes are equipped with a projector, installed PC, AC, and fans covering the entire area. The seating arrangement is standard 2 & 3 seater with a single student bench as well. We have had online activities and social events such as Utsav-2020. Srijan 2021, Samvedna 2021. We had Budget Sameeksha Ecent during Budget 2021 wherein students were given the option to visit the campus if they wish to. There are 12 clubs and each student is mandatorily a part of one club based on their preferences. COVID has not allowed to enjoy Campus Life much.

Interview Experience

5

There was GD and PI that were to be taken. On the schedule, there was PI and rathe than GD, we were individually asked to speak upon the GD topic allotted. I don't remember other topics, but the one allotted to me was relating to whether the laws meant to protect women are being misued by women. Thereafter the PI was conducted whereby based on the educational background, technical questions were asked. For GD, the topics were allotted beforehand, and hence preparing for the same was quite comfortable. For the PI, I prepared by going through basics of the Commerce stream graduation level topics. Accounts were my favorite subject and were questioned based on accounting concepts.

I am of ece branch and i believe the faculty of ece is fab. They are experienced and mojority of them have good skills of teaching. They will prepares us good for real world app as they are exprienced. Talking about the frequency and timing kind of after 2 months we have are mid semester then after 2 or 3 months we have our end semesters. Before these each these examinations we have are small quizzes of 10 marks and these are conducted 2 weeks before these big exams. Difficulty of exam depends on the subject it is. Say it is maths and physics you can assume it to be at a good level but some subjects are easy also and their exam level is kind of moderate.
