Great place to learn

Points to improve: Taking too many members is not good. It will reduce the quality, Staff quality should be improved.

I took the VITEEE, an all India entrance exam conduction by VIT. Based on the rank you will be called for counseling.

The course curriculum is very good. Some of the highlights were Java, Networking. These two are very well taught. You will be asked for frequent mini-projects which will give you a real-time experience. The labs are exceptionally good.

At my time, there were no companies that offered internships. Only direct placements were there. Regarding the placements, almost each and every software company has visited. TCS, CTS take almost close to 1000.

There is the concept of dream companies where you will be allowed to attend for only 3 companies which provide a higher salary. In Nondream companies, you cannot attend once you get a placement in a particular company.

Throughout the year there are so many national-level seminars, symposiums, events. The college festival every year is celebrated very grandly where the expenditure goes in crores.

The fee is expensive. It cost me 1.5 lakh per year including tuition, mess, hostel, etc. It is expensive. But considering the facilities that you enjoy, it does not feel like it's a waste.

Loan facilities are available. There is an Indian bank on the campus itself. Scholarships are there for a few. You will be getting 12000/year if you are among the toppers of the batch

The gender ratio I would say would be 60:40 (men to women). There are students from all over India. The majority of them are from AP and north India. The extracurricular activities are too good. This is something that you will enjoy here.

Hostel faculties are good. But again here there are categories and based on the money you can spend you will get better rooms.

Alumni have been very active. They conduct frequent meetings. No issues. The Linkedin group is very active. Emails are good. Foreign visits are good. May a point to consider is, in India, apart from Vellore they should consider other cities.

The college is very strict about attendance. The labs and exams are ok. It's not too hectic. But the evaluation and all happen very strictly.

Some of the faculty members are really good. But some are new and lack very good knowledge. But the staff will set high standards for the students by asking them to go through IEEE papers, etc.
