Remarks
ICT has global reputation for Chemistry and Chemical Engg. Courses. They offer many courses and have a well equipped library. There are cultural events that help in overall growth of the students. Generally most of the students graduating and post-graduating from ICT get placements as the placement cell of ICT is very supportive. For students willing to pursue higher education, ICT is a wonderful opportunity as Institutes abroad know the reputation ICT carries.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am an M.Sc. Chemistry student. I chose this course as I am interested in research. The faculty of my Department is very friendly and supportive. If one focuses during the lectures and interacts with professors, it is not difficult to pass. The professors help students in all ways to improve.
Placement Experience
Companies like Borosil have also visited for placements at ICT, and the package is generally in the range 6 - 14 lakhs per annum. Generally, atleast 60 percent of the students get placement. My personal plans after degree is to pursue Ph.D. in Science.
Fee Structure And Facilities
the fees is worth the education. There are some scholarships like INSPIRE from DST, which can be helpful for some. MAHADBT is also a scholarship, but I am not very aware about it as I am an INSPIRE scholar.
Campus Life
campus life is wonderful, students have a lot of events and get chance to participate and join different clubs like music club, dance club, literature club and so on. Students in hostel also have reading rooms to study late at night.
Admission
No, there was a written qualifying exam where I secured 5th rank among 300 students, the exam was an MCQ based paper which had 50 questions to be attempted in 60 minutes with no negative marking. The questions were based on fundamental knowledge about the subject.
