Remarks

College was good but they should hire some good people for teaching and they should also focused on enhancing their T&P cell strength. College infrastructure is very good. Labs are well maintained. College management was also good and they were always reachable.

Entrance Preview

I got selected because of IPU entrance exam. My rank was 6822. They do not disclose score. My rank was neither good nor bad. I opted for this college because I did't have any other option. I had to choose between HMR or NICE but I went for NIEC as it was near to metro station.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was decided by the GGSIPU university. Passing mark was 50, so if you are passed in all subjects your score automatically become more than 60%. Which was a good thing. Course was not updated but their focus was on teaching IT subject so irrespective of branch, everyone had to learn lots of IT related subject which helped us in getting job in IT company.

Internships Opportunities

College did't provide any internship. We have to search our-self for internship. For IT students they arranged the JAVA training but that was also paid by students.

Placement Experience

2.5

I was in 2013 batch and for 2012 and 2013 batch due to recession not many companies came for job. Two or three companies came and few student got placed. Usually Infosys come to college and hire in mass. If you don't have any supply at the time of infosys placement, most probably you will get job in Infosys.

College Events

4

There was three day fest FNORD. College had lots of groups like robogyan, Awaz, Drazzler. Societies were really good. College dance and football team was really good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it was a private college, so fees was little higher. I had to pay around 100,000 per year. In four year they increased the fees three times. Now fees is more than 1.2 lac.

Fees and Financial Aid

College did't provide any kind of scholarship or they do not help in getting loan also.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was good. Crowd was good. College have good playground. Gender ratio was very bad. There are very few girls in non-IT branches. In class there were only three girls. Sport facility was good. College basketball and football team was good. Labs were also good and well maintained.

Hostel Facilities

1

There is no hostel in NIEC and location of college is not good too. It's very difficult to get good accommodation near college. Canteen was good. Food quality was also good and there were many option.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good. They are having a dedicated website for alumni. Senior students were helping. They were always ready to help and guide you.

Exam Structure

There were eight semester, same for every B.tech college. In every semester we had two session exams. Out of 100 marks, 25 was with college and for 75 we had external exam in different college of IPU. Exam was little bit on difficult side.

Faculty

2.5

First year, faculty was really good. But after first year they hired some fresher who did't have the experience so quality of the teaching fell down but faculty was always ready to help you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
