If you are in a general category then u must bring at least 35% of the total marks to get this branch in IIT Bhubaneswar and age isn't specific. We must have all the documents required including the 10th-12th mark sheet, Income certificate, caste certificate, medical certificate, and many more. You can only join after documents verification.

I have an interest in the civil engineering field. I want to explore this field. The student faculty ratio is almost 10. All faculty members are highly qualified. Many of them have done PhD. Many are graduated from top class IITs and other colleges and some are graduated from foreign universities. And thus all of them teaches really good. Each year we r having 2 sems and each sem we r having 2 exams i e.mid sem and the end sem. It means we have exams 4 times a year(every 3 months). And exams are easy we can easily pass them, in fact, we can score very high if we follow the professors regularly.

One can easily get an internship according to his interest in his 3rd year. Companies can provide 40-50 thousand of the package and the amount can also increase if you have good skills. There are a lot of research projects that need to be done before sitting in internship and placement. We can do projects of data analyst also. We can do projects under any seniors or also under any professors.

From 5th sem onwards we can join internship programs and from 7th sem onwards we are eligible for placement. MNCs companies like Goldman Sachs, Honey well, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Adobe and PSUs like Oil India Limited, HPCL, etc and are open for all. Students if any branch can participate. Some IT companies like Microsoft and Google can provide a package of 40+ lakhs and most of the companies provides an average of about 12-15 lakhs but is somewhat less in the core sector. Core companies provide an average of 6-8 lakhs annually. In my civil engineering, it is 60% in the non core field and 50% in the core field. I'll go for the preparation for the UPSC exam.

The fee is not very much high. It is affordable. And it is fixed in each sem. The fee has to be paid sem wise and it can differ from previous sems. Actually, it depends if the sem is spring sem or autumn sem. There is a lot of scholarship provided by institution as well as the government. Some of them are MCM (Merit cum Scholarship) which is decided by your jee results and college sem results. Other are Fee Remission ( for gen and obc) if family income is less than 5 lakh annually.

There is a special students gymkhana which is run by students only. like Social and cultural council, Social and Technical Council, Sports Council, Career Development Cell, Mess Committee, Anti Ragging Committee, Women Empowerment Cell, and many more.

The hostel is compulsory for each student. We have to pay the hostel fee along with the tuition fee sen wise. All facilities are provided in the hostel. Everyone is allotted single rooms. The hostel is very clean. All students of the same branch are given rooms together. We can't rent a room outside the college. All must live in a college hostel only.
