Remarks
I have only applied for Sardar Patel Institute of Technology and KJ Somaiya College of Engineering. I got KJSCE on the first list so I went for KJSCE and didn't wait for any other college, since KJSCE is overall the best and nearby from my house. The admission criteria for BTech IT Engineering 2020 was 91%. There wasn't any counselling round. All instructions were provided online only and we visited the college to submit documents and for the payment of fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I was fond of coding and I also discovered my interest way before when I was in school. The faculty-student ratio in KJSCE is 50+:1000+. The qualification of faculty includes all are highly and professionally qualified with a high level of understanding of core subjects. The teaching method provided by almost all faculties here is very practical. It's all about the practical implementation of knowledge they believe in. Termly 3 exams are there, the first is in November (winter) and another is in May (summer).
Internships Opportunities
There are many startups that offer an internship to students like levyne, etc. Also, Morgan Stanley offered an internship for 3rd year for a system analyst role with no stipend. And JP Morgan came for an internship which is still recruiting students for the internship opportunity. The task offered by the internship company stays to be anonymous, so people who get the opportunity only know it.
Placement Experience
Students from the 4th year are eligible for placements. There are many companies that visit our college each year includes TCS, Accenture, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase & Co., etc. There are more than 100+ offers from various companies each year. The highest package is 25 LPA and the average package is 5 LPA, and the profiles are Software Engineer, System Analyst, Web Developer, Software Developer, etc. 95% of students get placed in on-campus placement here. My plans include placement and doing my job in a dream company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike in KJSCE is quite high. Here all people just can't afford it. Because fees are above 1 Lakh. KJSCE I think don't provide such scholarships, they have some scheme for people having very low income per annum.
Campus Life
The annual fest of KJSCE is Symphony that is conducted every year in the month of Feb or March. Tech Fest of KJSCE is Abhiyantriki and it is conducted in September or October. Also, organisations like DRDO, BARC, etc have participated in this and the main highlight of it is the Indian Army. All types of extracurricular activities like singing, dance, etc are performed and conducted here. As well as all sports like cricket, football, etc are practised here, and we also have a team that won at the national level for dancing. There are many clubs, like Rotaract club, alumni cell, etc.
