Remarks

After completing the jee exam, online counselling and choice were filling for college's you'd wanted to study in. There were 3 rounds of counselling, I skipped the 2nd round and got Ihm Bangalore in the 3rd round, In the 1st round I got Ihm Bhopal. I filled in for the 3rd round because I was looking for a better option.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The hotel industry is a fashion industry, my reason to choose hotel management was because of the unique job opportunities it has and along with my riveting interest in innovative business management. The faculty in Ihm Bangalore is great, especially the f&b service and food production faculties of SEM 5&6. The teaching methods were intriguing and effective. Every 16 weeks from the start date of the SEM there used to be the term end examination.

Internships Opportunities

5

In the 3rd & 4th SEM, the students were eligible for the industrial exposure training (internship), the company (hotel) was the sole choice of the student he/she wants to work in. The roles were offered by an industrial exposure trainee.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 5th SEM. The companies visited were the Oberoi, Taj, ITC, Marriott, Hilton, Accor, Leela, IHG, Starbucks, McDonald's, etc. The placements rate was 96%.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees used to be hiked year after year. The fees hike for the session 2020-21 was quite a big issue as the students were taught online and for teaching online there was a hike in the fees, apparently which shouldn't have. There were scholarship available for the students from the central government and also the state government, their native state. Campus Placements were there I got selected for a job in a renowned company.

Campus Life

2.5

There was an annual day celebrated every year in April's first week. The library was good and books were available at ease. Unfortunately, the college didn't have a campus so there was unavailability of sports and extracurricular activities. There were 4 different clubs run by the students each club of all the four major departments in a hotel.

Hostel Facilities

2

The room was triple occupancy with a bed, Study table, chair and cupboard for each student. The meal quality and menu was below average, not likeable by most of the students. The hostel was allotted to students on the basis of Their rank.
