Entrance Preview

COMEDK was the entrance exam I took,my score was 13000 rank,i was willing to take mechanical engineering branch and BIET college was among top 5 good mechanical branch college,i liked the campus and the lab facilities of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure was very good ,it was made comfortable by the professor's and the subjects was taught with keen interest and overall discipline was maintained.

Internships Opportunities

No,there was no such opportunity inside the college.

Placement Experience

Placements was not up to the mark,it was average ,it was 40℅ placements on my pass out year due to less opportunities in manufacturing sectors in recent years.

College Events

Davana and ethnic day was the cultural festival each year celebrated with all sports events and function taking place,along with that many co curricular activities took place in between semesters like debate,cricket, football etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible with rs 1 lakh per year.

Campus Life

Campus life was awesome ,ratio of male to female was 60:40. Labs were very good,staffs too very good many competitions took place with lot of opportunities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fee was 25000 per year,it was well established, accomodation was good,mess was also good but food with not up to the mark.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Exam Structure

Exam structure was very good with 20% marks in college teacher hand as internals exam and 80% marks as external. There were 6 theory papers and 2 lab papers each semester.

Faculty

The faculty was well qualified with all the professor holding m tech degree having deep knowledge of subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The cybersecurity curriculum in Dsu is designed to provide both theoretical foundations and practical experience in key areas such has security, linus and other related topics . With labs and workshops we get hands on experience on real world problems which help us during placement and internship . The faculty and the curriculum are up to date and help us learn the tools which are currently needed. Cybersecurity isn't just about IT it's also related to law(cybercrime laws),business(risk management) so introducing courses related to them can help students In cybersecurity certification is important so helping students to prepare for certification such has cissp, CompTIA and others can help students a lot Coming to the exams it's not that stressful we will have a month or two to prepare and me personally think 1 week is enough to clear it

The placements at presidency university offers is average, the placements percentage is high but the packages are low, the highest was around 13L per Annum and average of around 3L per annum. Students are eligible for placements in third year, while having many opportunities for internships during the period of 4 years. There are various companies that visit our college for placements such as shell, tech Mahindra, dell, capgemini, and many more companies. My plan after degree is get a high paying job either through placements or self searched interviews

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college is decent. If students give thier maximum they will get it and the good part is, the college pushes us for placements and introduces many more things for good placements like placement programs. If they failed to give us campus placement, it is quite tough to get off campus placemnt because of the competiton.

this college offers a very good placemets in cse branch ,as the placemets season starts from 3rd year itself,and they provide various training to help students get placed in various companies,the average package in this college is arounf 4lpa and highest is around 22lpa which is very good,around 90% students get easily placed by the end of the 4th year, varous product and service based companies visit this college..,every year around 600+ offers are made and around 40+ comapnied easily visit collge every year, this college also has tie with the companies in termas of placements.

On average its good but the campus management needs to tackle down few below listed problems. Library should be open 24x7. Faculty should deliver lectures in the language understood to all. Labs must be accessible to all any time and permission for the same can be easily granted. It’s terrible now. Only lab assistants are there while guiding students. I request if corresponding faculty will be there to guide students it will be very helpful. Campus still has not wifi. Its a major drawback in digital era....Read More
