Review on IIM Visakhapatnam

IIM Visakhapatnam is one of the fast-growing baby IIMs. Six years since its inception, it has excelled in multiple aspects. The Institute performs exceptionally well in terms of placements, with the number of companies participating in the recruitment process increasing year on year. Visakhapatnam being an Industrial Center, the location also serves as an advantage. The Admission Process consists of three phases. The first phase involves shortlisting of students based on the CAT score. The second phase involves the second round of shortlisting based on the CAT score and the student's profile ( 10th,12th, Bachelors, Diversity and Work Experience). The shortlisted students of phase 2 will be moving on to phase 3, which is the personal interview process, after which the final results will be declared.

Courses were well structured to cover all the essential concepts. Case studies on the concepts were included for class discussions. Professors explained all the concepts clearly and clarified the doubts as and when it was raised. The evaluation components were designed to test our understanding of the concepts and our ability to implement them in real-life scenarios.

The Summer Internship Process for the 2020-22 batch had around 52 recruiters visiting the campus, with 39 new recruiters, and the average stipend for the batch is around 62K. Bosch, Dalmia Bharat, ICICI Lombard, Lubrizol, MTR, Modern Foods, Outlook, Yes bank are some of the prominent companies which participated in the SIP Process.

IIM Visakhapatnam has an excellent placement record with an average salary of 13 LPA. The number of prominent companies visiting the campus for both finals and summers is increasing year on year. Institute achieved 100% placement in both Finals and SIP.

The program fee is 227500 per term, and the total course fee adds up to 1540000, which also includes the deposits and Mess & Hostel fee. The Institute floats details of the financial aids, making it easier for the students to apply.

Campus life is fantastic. There are 15 clubs, each covering different areas such as Business, Cultural, Sports, Media Cell, etc. Each of these clubs is grouped under different clusters. Samaarambh, HRidaya, Vriddhi, etc. are some of the flagship programs conducted by the clusters.
