Summer internship at IIM Visakhapatnam

The faculty of this college is good, although a relatively young college it has been attracting good teaching faculty. The bad aspect of IIMV is it does not have its own campus as of May 2021. The admission process is through CAT which is conduct in November every year and an Interview process later after securing minimum CAT criteria for considering for further process. I choose IIMV over others because of a good return on investment, although a relatively new college.

Most of the faculty have immense experience in the industry and can guide you better. The faculty to student ratio is roughly 10:1. Terms exam were conduct timely, the exam is more on real-world problems and it is expected to use learning from case studies done in the class to solve the problem given.

Companies that came for summer internship are ICICI Lombard, Yes bank, Outlook publishing, Lubrizol, to name a few. For summer internship roles like sales and marketing intern, marketing research, general management, etc.

The student is eligible to sit for summer placement from 1st semester and final placement from 4th semester, the placement percentage is 100%, over 75 companies come for final placement on campus.

I think the fees structure is well structure and it is worth it. You can easily get a loan from banks for your studies in IIMV. You can also apply to a various scholarship provided by the state govt and central govt too. There is also financial assistance from the college sides on an assistance to need basis.

Campus life is very vibrant, various game's facilities are present in the hostel, where you can play anytime in your free time. The library on campus is well stocked, various journals are subscribed by the library which complements our overall studies in IIMV.

IIMV provided hostel facilities for all PGP student, we are mostly provided with a double share room, the mess quality in a hostel is good. There is no need to register for a hostel but have to pay the mess fees before every semester.
