Remarks

This college has provided me an amazing platform to explore myself & experience a new me it has shaped my personality in q best possible way. but the washrooms are sometimes really tough to handle you have to stand in long ques time & again to submit your fees in the beginning of each session, then to get your library card in the middle of season & then to get your roll no. at the end of session.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam is required for b.com. it was on merit basis & I scored 86% in +2 i joined the course with a strong opinion that it will groom my knowledge about our economy & accounting which will surely help me in gaining the edge to get a job in banking sector which is my ultimate goal. I want to contribute my best towards the Indian economy.

It has given a perfect direction & had taken me I've step forward towards achieving my goal.

Internships Opportunities

We have not yet experienced the placement phase. But we have a placement cell which ensures to provide the placements according to the caliber ranging between the package of 1,50,000 to 3,50,000.

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

First SEM Experience

Placement Experience:

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.
