Remarks

I have given JEE mains, JEE Advance and Engineering Exam of UPTU (Now AKTU). I didn't perform well in JEE Mains and Advance to get a good college but i got 6632(GEN) rank in UPTU Exam. But due to some errors made the decision makers of UTPU i could not apply for the counselling of Colleges through UPTU exams. So at last all i left was to take admission through direct method in private colleges. I started my searching for colleges in the month of July 2016 after the ending of UPTU counselling. First i went to HiTech College of NH24. There they offered me CS branch just after seeing my class 12th marks and a normal talk. They also offered me Rs 50,000 as a scholarship. After leaving Hitech i went for ABES ENGINEERING COLLEGE. There they asked me to fill their admission form and gave me a date for my admission test and interview. After some days i went for my test which i qualified obviously and then had two interviews. In my second interview i was asked for the branch which i want to opt. I gone for Mechanical Engineering. I also went for AKG EC for admission but they didn't open their direct admission at that time. So i opt for ABES ENGINEERING COLLEGE.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I opt for Btech Mechanical Engineering. Our education system is bad and AKTU is nothing but a prove of it. My college environment was good and i felt that but talking about Curriculum. Their lab has no upgraded equipments, everything is old and in a kaam chalau condition. Academics depends upon how you perform in Internals because you get your internal marks purely based on those. Faculty was bad but only few teachers are good. I said faculty was bad in the reference that they don't have the knowledge of the subject but they are teaching it to you and the management who assignment them those subjects are worst because they don't know that that teaching could not teach that particular subject.

Internships Opportunities

4

I got no internship offer from college and also the college didn't provide me any chance for internship. I got chance to work as a intern in International Tobacco Company, Ghaziabad and my father helped me in this. The internship was of 1month and i learnt load of things from my instructor.

Placement Experience

1

My college placement is good for CS and IT students and good for those students who didn't want a job in core company. Companies for brach like ME and electrical are very less so you will get less chance. I got selection in a private company which was paying me 7000/- month but i didn't get the offer letter from that company due to corona. Mechanical's placement was worst.

College Events

Campus life was good and awesome. You got chance to meet students from all over the Uttar Pradesh which was quite good to interact with and experience. The college has many clubs and Societies like Samvaad, Literary club and many other clubs for CS and IT students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a private colleges they have defined fee structure but in my perspective they spend more money in the development of students of CS and IT branch. UP government gave you scholarship of Rs 56,600 for Gen and Obc candidate which you will get is not compulsory. I got the same amount in my 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of college and No scholarship in 1st year and no other scholarship was offered by the college. Talking about financial assistance, the college didn't give you any concession in college Fee instead they has many ways to take out fee from you. They stop you from giving internal exams untill you pay the fee and many other tricks. College job for Mechanical is worst. I got selection in a private company which was paying me 7000/- month but i didn't get the offer letter from that company due to corona. Mechanical's placement was worst.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostal life was good but the charges was more after second year onwards students prefer to take PG near college. Students generally take PG in Crossing Republic which is a great society to live in. Experience was great because of the facilities available in the society.

Admission

Yes, i gave one aptitude test and two interviews before admission. One interview was to judge me and second was for branch selection. Aptitude test was simple and normal. But take this test seriously because i have seen they send back candidates who failed in exams but only a few.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.
