I was Diploma Student.I got direct 2nd year in Engineering. If you want to join this college after 12 , you need to give AIEEE, MCAT. Dont know in details ,as i did 10th,diploma and direct 2nd year in BE.
Course Curriculum Overview
After coming to the corporate world.I realised I learned nothing in Engineering due to Useless Course structure. College and Mumbai University Teach us how to do donkey work. There is no way we can learn the practical thing.
Internships Opportunities
No internship. Faculty doesn't even know. Engineering students get internships. They should do an internship. That's the worst part of College and Mumbai University.Even after getting the degree,We know nothing.
College Events
That is the only Plus point of College. College conducts Mumbai's Biggest College festival and spends lots of money into that. There is one festival Alegria where you can showcase your talent. This fest has technical,cultural and managements competition. Even lots of celebrity arrives at college during the festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very expensive. When I enrolled in Pillai's,Engineering fees was 93 lac, Next year they took 1 lac. I would suggest rather spending 4 Lac in engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship/loan. In fact, 90% of students comes by paying 3 lac donation. College earn 2 crore per Department(direct 2nd year admission) There 6 branch and 3 branch has 120 seats. You imagine They earn 2 or from each department.
Campus Life
There are 5:2 gender ratio over Boys:Girls. In fact, core branch has hardly 2-4 girls. CS/IT has 3:1 ratio. The college has excellent labs,sports competitions,robotics during Alegria(annual college festival) and extracurricular activities.
Alumni/Alumna
There is No way we can connect alumni. On 2015 alumni meet had been conducted but very less students arrived. Due to that they did't conduct alumni from next years.
Exam Structure
Chilled Out. Exam patterns are worst. There are 2 mid sem exams of 50 marks.exam pattern change every sem. Sometimes they takes exams in weekends. Or something after a months.
Faculty
Phd and over Qualified faculty are good for nothing. They all are knowledgeable people, but don't know how to deliver the knowledge in students. ME students teach better then those exp Faculty. Faculty does't have practical knowledge.
