Remarks

Overall I would say that they have the right infrastructure. But they should focus on the mindset of making the courses more relevant and make it relevant to today's needs.

Entrance Preview

VIT is the best of the options I have got and I also got into the course in which I am really interested.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would say the course/teaching standards have to increase tremendously to be on par with BITS, IIIT's, IIT's. The course offering is fine but we should ideally focus on more relevant stuff and how to leverage those in day to day life.

Internships Opportunities

I didn't go for an internship. There should be more awareness around it. Out of 4 years, most of the companies provide internship opportunities at least 3 times and students should be highly encouraged to go through these.

Placement Experience

3.5

There are tons of opportunities provided by VIT. Getting a job is very easy but I would prefer you should be searching for one that brings out your true potential and this is something that VIT is also supposed to help.

College Events

4

Lots of extra circular events. Tons of annual fests, school fests, sports. Provides a good mix of all events. And something everyone should go through.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I would say a lot has changed since I passed out. I heard the latest fee structure was a bit on the higher side (and this is something I have noticed in other colleges as well).

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not familiar with loan facilities offered by VIT. But coming to the scholarship, VIT does provide annual ones but they are very limited to a select few.

Campus Life

4.5

In general, it is pretty well rounded. Tons of opportunities and events across the campus. Has a good mix of all possible events. Also encourages us to go to other campuses around.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Splendid. Tons of options and varieties. You would never feel away from your local food. Has different types of messes to cater to everyone's needs.

Alumni/Alumna

So far didn't felt a strong Alumni network that brings everyone together. But it is something they are trying to improve to make things better. A lot of events are also held.

Exam Structure

Typical style, semester wise system. A couple of small tests during the length of the course, and a final exam at the end which goes over all the syllabus.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
