Entrance Preview
I had took the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University. My Overall Rank was 6400 and Rank under Women's Category was 900. JSS ATE is the best college of UPTU in Delhi NCR and so the choice was obvious.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is well made and the faculty encourage the students to take up research projects. We had a mobile project which we did in Net Beans in 4th semester and then a web project in 5th semester. The students were made into groups of 3-4 (depending) to were asked to do a research project in the 4th year.
Internships Opportunities
To my knowledge, I haven't heard of internship being provided by the college. However, there are various schemes for Fee Waiver for meritorious students and also for students coming from weak economic backgrounds.
Placement Experience
The College promises 100% placement guarantee and it ful fills its promise too. The college has held good relationship with a lot of Companies which has built over a period of time will result in more students from the Academy getting opportunities for internship and ultimately employment opportunities with these very companies.
College Events
Students of JSSATE experience quality campus life. Gender ratio is very rich. This college lies in the ncr region and hence there is no problem of intolerance as students as well as the parents are well educated. There is no problem of religious belief overtaking rational thoughts.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a few scholarship schemes which are offered to students for waiving their Tuition Fees. I was myself a fee waiver students (Resulting of waive of my entire Tuition fees for all four years which i had got at the time of admission for being a most meritorious Girl students of my branch with my rank being the highest ).
Campus Life
The Gender Ratio is pretty high - 40:60 Ratio for Girls and Boys. The labs are well equipped and Lab in-charges are well trained and educated. There are big playground in the campus along with a basketball court. The campus is lush green with good amount of tress all around.
Hostel Facilities
JSS Academy of Technical Education has separate hostels for Boys and Girls. Boys Hostel is inside the campus and has 180 triple seated rooms with total capacity of 540 students. JSS Girls Hostel is inside the campus and has a capacity to accommodate 700 girls.
Exam Structure
The college takes 3 Unit Exams, the best of two making to the Internal Subject Marks. There are practical Exams that follow the internals. Just 2 weeks before the University exam is the PUT(Pre- University Test) which have the entire syllabus - giving a good way for making up any marks and also preparing well for the Exams.
Faculty
All the faculty members are very well qualified, and maximum of them being phd's and all the them holding masters degree. Some of the faculty members hold very good research papers which are readily available in the College library.
