Remarks

I chose this college as it is known for 100% placement. Moreover, I loved the activities being performed in college like fests, tech workshops, and many other events. The campus is quite great with 24/7 WIFI facility. The infrastructure is just amazing.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because computer is in high demands today. The faculty is appreciable. They are very supportive. Most of them are PhD holders. They focus more on practical's than theoretical. The exams are in bulk. You have to give FAs, STs and end terms.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provides internship but I am 2nd year student so i don't know the exact information about the general stipend offered by the college .Many companies like Google, Wipro ,Amazon, IBM offers the internships.

Placement Experience

College has 100% placement record. Almost all the top companies visit the campus like Infosys ,Wipro, Microsoft ,Flipkart, Amazon, Google, Bosh etc. Different salary options are offered by different companies like amazon usually offers 25 to 35 lacs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Program fee is 70000 per semester. Hostel fee(including laundry, mess) is 54000 per sem. There is no scholarship in this college. The highest stipend is 75000.you can get good internships if you excel academically well.

Campus Life

There are ample of fests and events organized by the college. ALGO is an annual fest which is organized at broad level. Students from different colleges participate in the fest with their respective teams .Star-Night is one of the most spectating event during the fest. Many popular singers are invited in the fest. There are many tech fests in the college. Classrooms are awesome ,well facilitated and have good infrastructure. NSS, badminton, cricket and many other sports are there in campus. Clubs like cu-arcs, math's pirates, euphony etc.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I applied for BML Munjal University before Chitkara university, Baddi. I got a confirmed admission from many colleges like BML munjal university, GNA university, Chandigarh university, etc. I chose this college over other because it was not too costly and crowd is less compared to other private universities.
