Remarks

Jawaharlal university is not only good in terms of providing u the good education but fulfills the main objective of education "IT FREES THE MIND" as Jawaharlal Nehru said about the purpose of education.

Entrance Preview

I always wanted to learn something that made me different from others. A language from Europe was really unique to me.I appeared for JNU entrance exam. Got qualified appeared for interview in which 250 students were invited and 30 were chosen.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We followed the international course structure. As far as course structure of language are concerned in diploma, it was very structured and had been appropriated after long research. ex. there was listening exercise at the end of every grammar course. But ,in the end a lot depends on the faculty who is teaching.

Internships Opportunities

No, as far as i think there are no internship options available here. And i don't understand how am i supposed to fill this space when my answer is only no.

Placement Experience

4.5

In languages ,its always about the skill. We had amazon and some other companies which took some test and gave a good package of 60k after just one year of study. At the same time, we can always go outside for work.Translation work and voice process in outsourcing firm are always at demand.

College Events

5

The cultural festival of our collage were best. It happens every years in winter. Sports events in different sections would take place between students of different schools. I played for the university football team. Jnu is a social school so there are no management and technical events. But the cultural events have shaped us mentally and psychologically for the good which will stay with us forever. I learnt karate and music while studying in Jnu.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well , again this question should not have many words. Its not only feasible but cheap. We had a yearly registration costing us Rs 365 approx. Hostels still charge Rs 600 for a bed. Very cheap indeed.Food is available at monthly 3500 approx. Events are specialty of jnu. So no need of us going outside . A complete ecosystem in itself capable of sustaining and taking care of person.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

As i have mentioned these spaces are difficult to fill as my college was highly cheap in fees and had the best brains. So my conclusion is and will always be superlative. But we also got scholarship from Italian govt to go abroad and study for 6 to 1 year. Sometimes the scholarship was good and timings were not and sometimes otherwise.

Campus Life

The cultural festival of our collage were best. It happens every years in winter. Sports events in different sections would take place between students of different schools. But the cultural events have shaped us mentally and psychologically for the good which will stay with us forever. I learnt karate and music while studying in Jnu student exchange programmes are significant here and people from many countries often stay here and are part of various cultural and daily interactions. people from different cast and sections come here and get to interact with each other and understand issues which only brings better understanding of things. Women i think feel specially empowered here.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are huge with sports and gym facilities available. Tv rooms are also there. every room can accommodate 2 persons. Mess is cheap and pretty hygienic. And there is no limitation to the amount one can eat. monthly cst of food comes around 3500 for food and staying charges are 650 approx.

Alumni/Alumna

This is something which is person to person. If someone is social then he has lots of help in terms of work. have seniors who have refereed me to companies to work for.

Exam Structure

It was mostly chilled out. It had to do more with the jnu climate i think. We had classes on weekend for 3 hours each from 2pm to 5 pm. although we had exams at the end of class and they were pretty frequent. The semesters came every few months as they are every where. But we always had a special teacher invited to the class to take the speaking test who were well qualified.

Faculty

4

Our faculty was not Italian but was very efficient in her lessons. We had conference rooms where learning was made fun with some Italian movies and documentaries. Because she worked in Italian culture center of India,we were always invited to programmes and parties where we could meet Italians and foreign dignitaries. Valuable lessons i suppose.
