A long journey in IIITM.

My overall experience is bad in this college. College management is on the faith on god. You will never get your job done on time.

AIEEE, 19000 rank, 186 score, I have opted this college because it is near to my hometown, rest this there was no reason simply.

The course structure is too old,good but not at all good for getting a job from this college. Never believe on such courses like this institute is having, that they will make your career. The course structure is too lengthy and have many subjects which are only for their name in the curriculum. Rest they have no meaning to you. You will only have to pass them.

Yes our college provide internship but it is not too much paid. One can only work on research internship here. general stipend here is between 4000-6000 and it depends on the projects. I have no personal experience on internships from here because i have never applied for it.

Placements from this college are worst as compared to other IIIT's and NIT's. Only 10-12 companies visit this college out of which 5-6 companies are only those which generally hire 2-3 candidates. Overall placements are very bad from this institute. From last year records only 65 percentage of students were placed out of which some of them were those who got the offers from those companies in which they have completed their internship.

Technical- Infotsav (The children Game), Cultural- Aurora (College never pays)- This year college is not going t organize this fest because college has no fund for it, management festivals - No one. ABV-IIITM encourages its students to participate in cultural events and activities with equal enthusiasm as academics. This institute is an active participant of SPIC MACAY, an endeavour of Government of Madhya Pradesh for promoting classical performance art forms like music, dance, and drama. Cultural groups and celebrity performers from across India are invited tto perform in SPIC MACAY. Music, Arts and Dramatics club of this institute also organizes events of smaller scale throughout the year for inspiring talents of this institute.

Total Institute Fee (A) : 49,000, 27,000, 20,000, 60,000, Hostel Room Charges (B) : 10,000, 10,000, 10,000, 10,000, Hostel Mess Fees (C) : 9,000, 9,000, 9,000, 9,000, Total (A) + (B) + (C) : 68,000, 46,000, 39,000, 79,000, SC/ST Students will be exempted from Payment of Tuition Fees only. All other fees are payable by them hostel Room Charges and Hostel Mess Fees are compulsory for all the Students. The fee will be deposited by Demand Draft in favour of Director, ABV-IIITM, Gwalior.

Students pursuing M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Doctoral programs are entitled to stipend. Stipend amount is payable as per norms of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and subject to fulfillment of academic pre-conditions determined by ABV-IIITM.

Sports in ABV-IIITM Together with academics sports is given adequate importance at ABV-IIITM. To encourage sporting activities we have a full-fledged complex, and also games facilities in each of the students’ hostels. We believe it is essential to remain physically fit and alert together with mental sharpness. In addition to a proper infrastructure several sporting events are held throughout the year to keep students bodily engaged.

Students including research scholars are distributed in three boys’ hostels and one girls’ hostel. Every student has a well appointed single room to oneself. Rooms are internet accessible and are sufficiently illuminated and ventilated. Bathrooms are fitted with geysers for supplying hot water as and when necessary. Filtered drinking water is available throughout day and night in these hostels. Each hostel is provided with a reading room, badminton court and table tennis board for recreation of boarders. Mess is of course an inseparable part of these hostels. Hostel residents are offered breakfast, lunch and dinner on all days including holidays. However, mess charge separately for food served during, acations. Doctoral candidates with families could be allotted separate quarters within the campus subject to availability. Boys’ Hostels there are three boys’ hostels with distribution pattern: BH 1 with capacity of 313 students; BH 2 with capacity of 311 students; BH 3 with capacity of 256 students, Girls’ Hostel there is a single girls’ hostel with a capacity for housing 135 students. This number is expected to cross 150 shortly.

Alumni network is so weak. Even this a\college not allows the alumni to enter the college from main gate . After passing from this institute you are no one to this college . No one will allow you to enter into the college. Even for getting the degree, you have to take a room on rent in any hotel nearby. No convocation program happens here.

Exams are very lenghty. Only those students can get good ponters here who can mug up all the things and can write as much relevant and irrelevant things in the answer copy. this is the complete funda to be a topper here. Labs are not at all frequent. College has so much infrastructure but it is of no use to us.

Only 30 percent of the faculties are good rest are like if they have hired from a government school. Faculties are not at all helpful in making your career. They will only make you feared to attend the classes and fear you for cutting the marks in final exam. Classes never happen on time and you will be dumb here. Never take this college.
