Remarks

One of the best colleges in India for Hotel Management, since goa is popular for a tourism job opportunity is more. Admission is based on the rank scored in the NCHMCT-JEE entrance exams. I got to know about this college from the reviews on the internet.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always was interested in the hospitality industry. The faculty is amazing and helpful. The faculty is experienced and has worked in the industry. The exams weren't difficult to pass as the teachers made sure to teach the students properly.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does offer internships in the second year for the on-field experience. Oberoi, Taj, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, four points Sheraton, four seasons, etc. Students become more confident and get a clear idea of what they want to work in the industry.

Placement Experience

During the final year, various companies do come for campus placement. Taj, Oberoi, four seasons, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, etc. 80-90% of the students do get the jobs. And usually, the starting package is around 35k and the average is around 20k.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are usually around 50k per semester and there is a total of 6 semesters. Students do get internships in the second year summer or winter batch respectively. And in the third year, many hotels do come for campus interviews.

Campus Life

There are many events that go on throughout the year. There's high tea and theme lunch that do take place. These events are conducted by the students alone. The college also has a Rotaract club. Many spots competition do occur.

Overall Experience with IHMCT GOA

Placement Experience:

Placement start from 5th semister with hotels like, Taj, Oberoi, Marriots etc. visiting campus. The highest package was offered that time back in 2015 was Rs. 400,000/- and the average package was around Rs. 250,000/-. After graduation started working in a restaurant chain in Mumbai. Was selected in a campus placement in Saudi Arabia, but due to some political interferences at 2015, had to drop the idea. After some years, I transitioned my career to Data Science in 2024.

Course Curriculum Overview:

if I am being honest, I chose this course because of my brother he is in this industry and doing very well, but I did not know that to pursue your career in this field. You really need passion for this industry which I like, and currently, I am suffering because I do not want to do this anymore, and I am thinking about leaving it, but for students who are really interested in this field, the curriculum is very nice. It focuses on practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The training provided by teachers is very nice.

IHM GOA Review

Placement Experience:

Anyone is eligible for campus placement by end of the 5th see there are a lot of placement options. but the salary that is provided at the associate level for any employer is way too less, it's close to 12-15k per month. But when selected for MT Programs, it is somewhere 23-28k per month and a hike of position and salary after two years or completion of the MT Program duration.

I chose the college for its reputation, practical training and placement opportunities over others I appled to. The admission process was starightforward, based on JEE exams, with competitve cutoff. You have to be a 12th standard pass with 60%. Generally, you have to apply by taking the NCHMCT JEE exam, and if you crack it, you will be offered 3 IHM institutions of India to select and then they proceed.
