My College Review

DAVC is one of the best colleges in Chandigarh under Punjab University, moreover, this college includes NCC and NSS. Our college has its own shooting range, the indoor 10 metres shooting range at the DAV College (Sector 10) is proving its worth for the shooters of the college. However, it is teaching staff is old at its work.

The faculty members of our college are very responsible and helpful. They provide all the resources regarding the course. All over seniors are helpful and kind. Any Sort of problem related to our study is Solved. Teachers do their best for all Students. Semester exams are conducted in our college.

There are various internship programs in our college. However, I am pursuing graduation in BA general. There are no such placement opportunities. However, students who are doing graduation in BA Hons get placements. Students who are brilliant are often interviewed by top companies. The average salary package offered is 2 LPA.

Total fees for 3 years is approx Rs 51.99K. Scholarship 1: The college provides State and Central Government Scholarships to meritorious students in academics as well as in sports. Govt. of India Scholarships under- 1. National Loan Scholarship Scheme 2. National Talent Scholarship 3. Sports Talent Scholarship 4. Post Matric Scholarships for students belonging to scheduled castes 5. National Merit scholarship scheme. Scholarship 2: Half fee concession in tuition fees. This is open to all students. For availing this Concession the income of parents of the student from all sources should be up to 1 lakh per annum.

The college has a collection of 10,000 rare books and 8360 manuscripts and also provides access to the e-resources for its members through the N-LIST Programme of INFLIBNET. It subscribes to a number of Hindi/English/Punjabi dailies, subject-based journals. The library has a facility of a reprographic section. CD-ROMs covering literature and various other subjects are also provided in the periodical section of the library. Boys Hostel, Number of beds - 250 in campus hostel. Girls Hostel, number of beds - 400 in campus hostel.
