Remarks

It's an IIT obviously, got through Jossa counselling. It has a 970+ acre campus area, labs are well developed. It also provides sports facilities like cricket, football grounds. Hostel facilities are also quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in the Electronics field. Also, it was most likely that I could get it. The faculty-student ratio is 1:50. Teachers are highly qualified, they explain every doubt we ask, they try to be connected. Exams happen after every two months.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there are opportunities to do an internship outside the college in the 3rd-year summer. Companies do visit campus to hire intern also there is the chance of getting PPO and no need to sit in placements. Research intern is also available in college you can do that in summer and winter.

Placement Experience

Campus placement is quite good. You can check in IIT bbs website. The average CTC is 15.9 LPA and the highest package is 43.9 lakh per annum. You can always have coded in backup for placement. We have seen people who do months of coding and get good placement offers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are almost 2 lakh per annum but if you are eligible you can avail of the scholarship. Your fees will be refunded and also you will get 1000 per month if you get MCM, if unfortunately you not able to get through MCM you can get fee remission.

Campus Life

There are four fests: Tech fest (Wissenaire), cultural fest (alma fiesta), E-summit, Ashwamedha. Books are very much available in library. Classes are of 55 person capacity and 150 capacity classes. There are many clubs too.

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. I applied for geophysics and mining in ISM Dhanbad. But I filled my current college and branch above them. Also these branches are not very popular among students but as I didn't scored very well in my JEE advance examination, I had very few choices. To get into an IIT you first need to clear JEE mains cutoff and then clear JEE advance.
