Remarks

If you are going for a complete college life which includes studies, fun, recreation then do opt this college, you will never regret this. Anyways the college is so big that it itself gives a good feeling in spending our 4 years there.

Entrance Preview

I got into BIET by COMED-K securing 11552 rank. Reason of opting this college was it is a very old college established in 1979. The majors like E&C, mech, civil, textile, biotech, CS, IS, IT all had a very good faculty, I can say VTU level teachers which is really great. Also the campus is so big that 6-8 bangalore colleges can fit into it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course learning was gradually increasing which helped us to understand the concepts very clearly. The lab experiments used to provoke us for taking up some circuits connection individually. In terms of research we used to have robotics day where we can showcase our understandings. And there is no need to repeat this but faculties were very helpful.

Internships Opportunities

My college used to provide internship at around 10k monthly stipend. The interns where allowed to stay in college's hostel till there internship is going on.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good at campus. I have seen many mass recruiter companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Mindtree coming in, also the dream companies like BEL, Robert Bosch, Huwaei, Samsung, Capgemini, Accenture used to come. College also supported for pool campus, so that we were allowed to go to other colleges to sit in a better companies.

College Events

4

Davana was the annual function day. We also celebrated E&C day, Mech day, CS day, Biotech day, Civil day. Like this each branch used to conduct there day showing some research works. Apart from this the fun days were Rose day, Valentines day, Ethinic day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was different for non karnataka students compare to karnataka students. This was as per COMEDK rule. It was 1.25 lacs for COMEDK students and 40k for CET students. Fees was expensive, which can be reduced by 20-30%. College also supported SC / ST candidates for no fees education.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships were offered to students who used to get rank in VTU level. Loans were provided by SBI at a low rate compared to what was going in market.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio was 2/3rd male and 1/3rd females were studying in the college. Sports day, robotics competition, seminars, recruitment rehearsals etc were being conductued in the college. There were many colleges under VTU used to be a part of these activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities were good. Each of us were given a single bed and cupboard. It was there sharing rooms. Hostel was kept very clean. Mess food was also good. A three time meal at a reasonable price to 1000 a month was really inecpensive. The hostel fees was also less that is 10k a year.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good. We are all in touch via facebook. And whenever we want any help from other unhesitantly we can talk to each other.

Exam Structure

Exam days were most interesting days. 1 paper after a day gap used to make us use our brain efficiency effectively. Labs were conducted before written starts. There were very good way of managing around 3000 students in a single 3hrs exam which was really appreciatable.

Faculty

5

Faculties of the college was really good, learned. They have good knowledge of the courses and were able to deliver it in a very effective way. They were fully cooperative and also made us to be in discipline in our life which was very much important.

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
