PARMITA SAR's Review On Atharva College Of Engineering, Mumbai

The college is worth going and spending the precious 4 years of your life with a lot of enjoyment and scope to grow.

I gave a lot many exams including JEE, AIEEE and CET. Among these i got through Atharva from my cet scores which was 150. I already had few seniors of my school in this college and had got a pretty good review about it.

The course is similar to the other colleges, wherein your entire degree is going to be divided into 8 semesters. The courses are good and so are the subjects. You even have various projects going on the entire entire so that you get to learn more of the outside world apart from the books. We have a highly maintained lab and classes for all the disciples which are upto dated.

Yes, our college does provide internship but the number of companies coming for that are not much in number. During our time we got internships in Vodafone, Airtel and other IT companies.

The placement is good with 80% of the students getting placed almost every year. Big reknowned companies like Infosys, Techmahindra, Capegemini, Accenture come in the campus selection apart from the other. The average pay package varies from 2.5-5L per annum.

There are a number of events that are organised round the year. Cultural festivals- Rhythm is one the most famous annual fest among the engineering colleges. Apart from that the college also celebrates Ganpati festival. Technical fest- Techithon, IEEE , E-WEEK are the technical fests that are a part of the college, where the students show their technical talent to the fullest.

The fee structure is pretty reasonable compared to the other colleges. This year it was Rs.72000/- per annum which is less compared to the other colleges in the city. The facilities provided is included among it, which is not there in a other colleges.

Loan facility is not provided but yes scholarship is given depending upon your academic scores. Also students belonging to SC/ST quota have a fee waiver.

Gender ration is 60-40 and this is definately among the coolest colleges in town with all the festivals going round the clock , life is amazing out here. The student diversity is also amazing as people from all the states come here. The best part about our college is that nobody is going to treat you indifferently. Everybody is friends with everyone no matter if they are junior or a senior to you.

There is no hostel provided by the college. Though there are plenty of places to stay by in nearby location for people not residing in mumbai. The food is extremely hygienic as out college also consists of hotel management. Extra care is taken towards hygiene and good taste with reasonable prices for it.

There is no special network for the same but everybody is connected with each other in social media and meet in college during the festivals.

The exam pattern is the semester wise one, with mid terms happening every semester. It does give a lot of time to do things apart from the normal curriculum assigned. We have two huge libraries wherein students can pick up any book of their interest. Apart from this we do have other facilities like gym, swimming pool.

The faculty of our college depends from above average to excellent in different departments. Some are extremely knowledgeable and Phd degree holders so you know the amount of knowledge that would be transferred. Along with that the teachers are quiet upto dated about the various technologies that are coming in the day to day life.
