PUMBA review

Firstly, it is the best B-school in Pune. The fact that Pumba is a Govt. College. The faculty for Operations is very good and finally, the fees is very less. I had a friend who was already there in Pumba, so it was easy for me to ask him about the college.

Being a Mechanical Engineer, I was sure to go for Operations Management. The faculty for Operations is good. The guest faculty is very good. Almost all the faculty is Phd. Pumba has a Trimester pattern. So, the exams are conducted thrice a year. There are both internal as well as external exams.

You need to do a summer internship during June July of 1st year. The internship placement begins in October just after 2 months of when the college starts. The internship placement is very good. You also need to carry out an industrial group project in 1st year and a group social project in 2nd year.

The placement begins in the September of the final year. The range of packages is from 5L to 16L. The placement percentage is almost 85%. The average package is 6.5L. The number of companies for marketing are more as compared to finance.

The fees is the best part of Pumba. The fees for 2 years MBA costs 1.3L for the Open category. As per the different categories, the fees is waived. The ROI in Pumba is really great as the fees are very less.

Pumba has an Annual fest named DHRUV. Also, there are various tech as well as National level fest conducted in Pumba. Pumba Library is equipped with a plethora of books and journals. Classes are just like schools and graduate colleges equipped with a mic, speakers, and projectors. Pumba is a great college for sports activities and extracurricular like Entrepreneurship development. There are multiple cells you can be part of like, placement cell, seminar cell, communication cell, etc. all run by students.

Pumba doesn't have a separate hostel. The Pune university hostel is allotted for Pumba. You need to apply for a hostel during admission and as per merit, you will be allotted a hostel. The hostel fees are only 4000 per year. Food is not included. The hostel is located within the university. There are multiple canteens available within the university.
