Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies, Kuttichal is one of the best management schools in Trivandrum. It works under KTU and is collaborated with XIME ( Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship ). I got admission in merit with KMAT eligibility. Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in management studies, so as my PG course, I selected MBA. The faculty members of Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies are good and well trained. There are 60 seats in a class out of which 56 seats are occupied. Our Dean, Dr. Mercia Selva Malar Justin has a doctorate in Finance and our HOD, Dr. Syamnath too has a doctorate. All the faculty members have experience and completed their education with high scores. Due to the pandemic, most of the classes were taken online. The term exams are conducted after 6 months of commencement of a semester.
Internships Opportunities
The college promotes off-campus internship opportunities. Faculties help students to find companies that provide internship opportunities. To do an internship course per semester is mandatory. A lot of opportunities are provided for Digital Marketing courses for free.
Placement Experience
There is a good placement facility in the college. The scope of placement has increased after the collaboration with the Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship ( XIME ). 100 % placement is offered to students. Infosys, HDFC bank are some of the companies visiting the college for placement. My plan after post-graduation is to work as an HR Manager in a well-reputed company.
Fees and Financial Aid
There will a caution deposit of Rs. 10,000. The fee structure per semester is 62,000. The scholarship will be provided to students with high scores in Kmat entrance exam. The documents needed for the loan facility will be provided by the college. Good placement opportunities are available.
Campus Life
We are blessed with a good campus. There is plenty of area within the college campus. A separate library for the MBA department as well as a central library is available with a lot of reference material and textbooks. The classrooms are air-conditioned and there is a smart class facility in each class. There is a hostel facility provided with good food and accommodation as well as there is college bus facility for transportation. There is a separate basketball court for boys and girls within the campus. There are certain clubs for promoting business plans.
Interview Experience
There was an interview with the faculty members of the College. The marks obtained by the students in their graduation, higher secondary, and SSLC were analyzed before admission. I got admission on merit with the help of KMAT eligibility.
