Remarks
I prefer this Lmims because it is one of the best business schools in Trivandrum. Lmims is in academic collaboration with Xime and is located in kuttichal hills which is a nice place surrounded by greenery. Even though the fees are low as compared to other business schools in Trivandrum they are not compromising in the quality of education and facilities provided. Lmims is enriched with good management and qualified and supportive faculties who guide us to a good future. Lmims also provide a placement which is the most essential thing. Admission is based on kmat score.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose MBA because it has a vast scope of job opportunities. Faculty student ratio is 1:10. Faculties are highly qualified as most of them are having doctorate's and their teaching method is very effective as they are interacting with the students and make all students understand the topic and they give equal importance to all students. For my batch, we have trimester i.e we have 6 trimesters in 2 years, and from our junior batch onwards we have a semester system i.e 4 semesters in 2 years. The exam was not that much difficult as faculties are trying their maximum to teach us.
Internships Opportunities
Due to the pandemic, the internships were online and the college itself provide us internship opportunities. I do my internship in unschool and got a stipend according to my sales. Various students do internships in various organizations and most of it was with stipends.
Placement Experience
They are preparing students for placements from 1 semester onwards. They make us read books and newspapers and they conduct placement training camp which was very effective. From the 4th semester onwards they start to give practice on gd and interview.
Fees and Financial Aid
For our batch, total fees were 2.5 lakh which is divided into 4 semesters i.e 62500 per semester and there will be some additional yearly fees. College is also providing fee reductions to poor students and also providing various scholarships to college toppers and the needy ones. Both Lmims and Xime are providing scholarships.
Campus Life
We conducted annual fest and various quiz and debate competitions and also intercollege fest. We have a good library where we can find all the essential books for our academic purpose and faculties always motivate us to read books. Class is a well-equipped classroom with air conditioning, projector, good lighting, and good ambiance. There are various clubs like the marketing club, finance club, HR club, and operations club and there is a sports day every year.
Interview Experience
As part of admission, we had group discussions and interviews. I don't remember the topic for GD and questions asked for interviews as they were years back. But it was slightly difficult as all participants are enthusiastically participating as they need admission. I prepared by watching youtube videos, by asking elders, and by gaining knowledge.
